The 2-0 Simon Kenton Pioneers travel to Park Hills next Friday to take on 0-2 Covington Catholic. The Pioneers have a very high powered offense lead by QB Brady Lee and Wide Receivers Grayson Harris  and Tysin Weaver.  Should be a great game in Park Hills good luck to both teams.

  • theguru changed the title to Simon Kenton at Covington Catholic Predictions/Updates

Interesting game in my opinion. Simon Kenton has shown good things offensively but they have struggled defensively. Covington Catholic is similar and has been rebuilding too. I wouldn’t be surprised if either team wins this game. Which ever is more disciplined and has the advantage with turnovers likely wins. If not, it could be a high scoring game with the winner being who has the ball last. Good luck to both teams.

When does Oliver link get back? He will definitely help on offense when he returns.

That will give us another receiver the staff trusts and then we can hopefully stop playing Tate Kruer out of position at slot receiver and get him back at TE.

How many kids play with ways for CovCath? If it is a hot one that will be tough for CovCath. I know both of the Pioneers games others where cramping after the 2nd half. SK platoons this year and it is making a difference.

They have doing that for years. That will not ever be a issue at CCH.

Anywhere from a few more games to much lengthier.

Everyone talking about the Pioneers defense struggling is funny. Have you even watch them play a game? They forced turnovers scored on 2 safeties and had a 93 yard pick 6. Numerous sacks. No one has talked about CovCath giving a bunch of points also.

SK 50 to 35 and SK 61 to 40

CovCath losses 14 to 30 and 22 to 32

When you've given up 75 points in 2 games, your defense isn't exactly on fire. And I think everyone said that they expect Covington Catholic to give up a bunch of points as well. No one on this thread has been talking about how good their defense had been.  But the fact remains that Simon Kenton has given up more points in each of their games than Covington Catholic had given up in theirs.  One thing that jumps out to me is that the Pioneers gave up 40 points to a Mercer County team that only scored 14 against Bullitt East.  This one looks like it could go either way.
