Pikeville travels to Lexington Friday night for a matchup with LCA. Both teams are coming into the game winless, but from two very different perspectives. LCA has battled with two of the better teams in the state in Boyle Co (arguably, the best team in the state) and 4A power, Franklin Co. Pikeville, on the other hand, will come into the game after getting manhandled by Johnson Central and losing to Corbin in Week 1. This matchup has huge playoff implications in that the losing team will more than likely be on the road come playoff time. Will LCA continue to flex its muscle against a lower-class team? Will Pikeville find the strength to make it a competitive game after last week’s poor performance? So many questions surround both these teams and we’ll all get answers Friday. Who wins, Pikeville or LCA?

  • Screens and the TE over the middle are the two most underutilized plays in prep football.  IMHO.

  • Pikeville's effort this late in a game they can't win is impressive.

After last nights poor performance by Pikeville, there's not much hope of a win at LCA unless the Panthers play with more intensity, and clean up those silly mistakes. There's plenty of talent on this team, but playing like they know they can is a must.

The status of Brenden Anthony is questionable as well. Absolutely a great player and game changer on both sides of the ball. LCA seemed to be the favorite anyway and I don't see a scenario where Pikeville wins without his availability.

What happened to Anthony? I’ve not heard anything.

I'm fairly certain he left last week's game but no word on the reason or his status.

He did leave last weeks game with an injury to his ankle that has not been confirmed as to the severity of it yet.

Do we know if he walked off on his own will or was he helped off the field.

Anyone know about tickets?

Only online?  Cash at the gate?  Etc?

Thanks!

That I am not sure about. I can only confirm that it is an ankle injury and awaiting updates on severity.

Tickets are available at gate.  $10 each, good for both games.
