  1. Players will give a coach whatever they have if they know the coaches expectations and everyone (coaches included) are help to those expectations. If the goal for coaches isn't getting kids prepared for a full 15 week season, then that is a disservice to the players. (whether or not they have the players to make it 15 weeks or not) Players are essentially getting 3 days rest throughout the week, 2 days on the weekend and 1 day for walkthrough/pre-game on Thursday. I don't think it's too much to ask for players to go hard 4 days a week.
  2. Any chance they give Bryson Yaden a shot? Played there, teaches and coaches there now. His dad is big in LC school system.
  3. Has there ever been an effort made at the little league level to obtain a culture like that for football? It is my understanding that basketball is played year round at that level in Lincoln.
  4. This has went from the open Lincoln job thread to the "what's your opinion on fall break" thread.
  5. I can't imagine this is a very appealing job for many.
  6. "Proper preseason and in-season strength training does help with basketball. It has to be done with consideration for the fatigue accumulated due to games and practices. That is a far cry from what this is." When you say "that is a far cry from what this is," I take that as what the football team is doing in the mornings is not taking the athletes well being and fatigue into consideration.
  7. Just curious, how do you know exactly "what this is"...
  8. How have they not proven it?
  9. It shouldn't have been done at the banquet but I think he was telling the parents don't complain and plant negativity in the players/kids heads. Sure, every program is going to have parents that disagree with the decisions but when the players take on the same mentality it bleeds out into the rest of the team and can change the whole trajectory of the season.
  10. I thought Coach Harris was a lifer in Shelby Co.
  11. I read that thread wrong. I read that as Martels Carter was at Cov Cath..didn't put the correct name with the team!
  12. What does this even mean? LOL
  13. Both teams do have good, Boyle has better. Both statements can be true.
  14. What I replied was the truth. If a team's best player is removed and they have to play Corbin the chances of that team winning isnn't great lol.
  15. Where does it say in the post, "Corbin's coaches didn't call a good game?" That has nothing to do with the comment about removing the a team's best player.
  16. Why is this a thing? Boyle loses without him. Corbin doesn't go undefeated in the regular season without the twins. The Chicago Bulls don't win all those titles without Michael Jordan. You can say that about almost anything. Fact is, Boyle has better players, better coaching, and knows what it takes better than anyone, how to win the big games.
  17. See this game going one of two ways, CC by 3-4 scores or a close JC win. Leaning more toward CC.
  18. Mercer, could be a decently competitive game. Casey is hit and miss
  19. Are all of JC's backs healthy? I know they were banged up at the beginning of the season.
  20. Lincoln has the players to at least be competitive in games like these. They aren't being used correctly.
