Coach's introduction.

Pulaski County fans are furiously checking the volume on their devices.

It will be interesting to see the staff the first time head coach puts together. I know his expertise is on the defensive side so wonder who is going to call the plays on the offensive side for the Maroons. Overall consensus seems like a good hire, and one that Maroon faithful is happy about. Good luck to Coach Burns!

I really like Travis.  Hate to see him leave Boyle but sure don't blame him and look forward to following Pulaski a little closer this year.  Good Luck Coach Burns !

According to Twitter there were a couple Boyle assistants at the press conference. Were they just there for support or is there more to it? I guess time will tell.

I saw a post of Travis pictured with current Boyle assistant Nick Mills and the picture was taken at the press conference.

Does Mills coach on the offensive side of the ball?

I think he coaches the DB but I am not certain.

I saw this as well.

Didn't Mills come from Southwestern and Jason Foley's staff before going to Boyle?

I spoke with someone who attended the press conference. They said it was amazing to see how responsive the parents and players were to what coach Burns had to say. At his initial introduction, there were several who stood and applauded him. When he spoke directly to the parents and players the feeling in the room was one of excitement and readiness for the challenge that lies ahead. To quote this individual ''it felt like the beginning of something very special.'' Based on this information I would say that Coach Burns is off to a great start. Good luck in all that you do Coach!

I love it!!

Per Pulaski County social media, Daryn Meece is the offensive line coach for the Maroons. I think he may well be a holdover from Coach Hines' staff.
