2:30 left in the game and Mayfield ran the ball (long run by Galbreath) to the 5 yard line of Caldwell. We took a knee on the 5 to end the game. Coach Joe is a class act.

I get your point, but I trust the guys who make out the schedule at Mayfield to fully be aware of all their scheduling decisions and how it affects the team. They have been doing a good job of that for years.

LCA has the highest rpi in the entire state…and Mayfield is second on that list (state).

Great job every week on this…as for me, i would have LCA at number 1 and Beechwood at number 2.

Well, that’s it in a nutshell…if coach Champ is not there, that game doesn’t happen. Just trying to help him improve that program.

I think LCA is the horse to beat in this race, and this week’s game with Lex Cath will solidify this statement. Beechwood is a nose behind with Mayfield looking for some kind of opening.

I do not agree that Mayfield played poorly. They were facing a much bigger team that played with motivation and inspiration…fighting NOT to go 0-4. Keys and Hughes ran hard with the Cardinal D finding it hard to get Keys on the ground. But Mayfield responded with some big time plays that resulted in points on the board. Yes, some plays were not made that could have meant even more points, but overall, that was a good victory last night Go Big Red!

I heard it was a team-wide breakout of PMS… Post Mayfield Syndrome…jk ?

The Mustangs come in to War Memorial 0-3, and all signs point to them leaving 0-4. Mayfield is enjoying their usual passing attack, but they also are mustering a monster ground game. No one has had an answer for Kylan Galbreath so far, and I do not expect the Mustangs to have one either. Mayfield wins 35-7.

Great win tonite! Great atmosphere…looks like coach Thompson is really gaining momentum with the fan base. Kylan was so good tonite…they could not contain him. The James kid is going to be a good QB for PT…made some really good throws tonite. Good job Mayfield…16 in a row! GBR!

I’m picking the Cardinals to win again, but I’m not expecting a running clock victory like last year. PT ALWAYS has athletes…gotta respect their speed and ability. Mayfield wins 28-14

This game took forever to play...I think Hoptown called 12 timeouts with another 7 or 8 injury timeouts. Not actually, but it sure felt like it. Add to that, the pa system went haywire doing damage to everyone's hearing within 4 miles of the stadium. Mayfield had 2 touchdowns called back by penalties...glad to get the win, but it was weird from the start to the finish.

Well, Mayfield is on it right now, and as the season is played out, there MIGHT be one or two others…its too early to tell.

Dabney is not even close to being the starter… the position belongs to a much improved Cartwright…no criticism of GC defense at all, but this is not last years Cardinal offense. So, I stand by my score prediction…This is strictly my own opinion, and i have been wrong before. ?

Gotta give the nod to LCA, but they need to show up expecting a battle. Beechwood knows how to hit you in the mouth. Its the 27 straight points given up to W Carter that have me concerned...I dont believe the Tigers can just outscore the Eagles.
