DevilMayCare
Final. Hoptown is really struggling to put points on the board so far this season.
WKY_Football
Mayfield played extremely disciplined football and that won the game. The Tigers had multiple trips inside the Mayfield 20 & 10 & came up with only 3 points. The Tigers look like a pretender & the Cardinals look poise for another long postseason run. 1
Region2 Hype Man
It was a defensive showdown, but the Cardinals were their usual disciplined selves and knew when to strike at the right time. The model program in WKY. Craig Clayton’s teams always start sloppy but by November they’re well oiled.
The Flea Market
Mayfield never rebuilds they just reload. Middle school kids do the same thing and run the same plays the high school team does. This is the way to run a program

Tkinslow
I figured Mayfield would be back to their dominating selves this year, the only problem with Mayfield is they have a team playing in Class 2A with a Class 5A roster in Beechwood. GBR
This game took forever to play...I think Hoptown called 12 timeouts with another 7 or 8 injury timeouts. Not actually, but it sure felt like it. Add to that, the pa system went haywire doing damage to everyone's hearing within 4 miles of the stadium. Mayfield had 2 touchdowns called back by penalties...glad to get the win, but it was weird from the start to the finish.

The biggest play of that game last night was the Hopkinsville blocked punt that would have given them the ball on the mayfield 21 yard line trailing 14-3 in the 4th that they muffed and Mayfield recovered. Mayfield threw a 79 yard TD to #2 the next play that would be the final nail in the coffin. Mayfield just kills you for mistakes. That hasn’t changed in the last 30 plus years of Mayfield football.
