In 6A, Male #1 and St. X #2. If that holds throughout season which it will for Male, and If St. X gets by Manual then St. X and Male would meet in Championship. Trinity would most likely face Male in 4th round. A lot of football to be played though so will see how it all shakes out down the road.

That's where playing bunch of out of state teams hurt you in RPI. They don't schedule thinking about RPI though plus hard to find KY teams that will play them.

Interesting.

1 Boyle County 4A 5 4 - 1     5 .98916 .70398 .70557 .80427
2 Lexington Catholic 4A 5 4 - 1     5 .98916 .71632 .67203 .79853
3 Corbin 4A 7 5 - 0     5 1.01134 .42550 .63163 .69238

Remaining schedule Boyle vs. Corbin

Boyle with 6A North Hardin - Corbin, 6A Simon Kenton

Boyle, #2 Lexington Catholic - Corbin, #9 Knox Central

Boyle, #6 Bourbon County - Corbin, #33 Lincoln County

Boyle, #35 Anderson County - Corbin, #14 Wayne County

Boyle, 5A #3 Frederick Douglas - Corbin 6A #22 Campbell County.

LCA has the highest rpi in the entire state…and Mayfield is second on that list (state).

KCD is actually #2 in the state in RPI according to the list at .91.  This is why RPI is flawed and it doesn't do 6A schools any good, but to play other 6A schools.

oops, you are correct….?

I don't think RPI is near as bad as people make it out to be. It really does reward teams for winning and for playing good schedules. You can try to schedule up to play bigger schools than you to help your winning percentage, but if they're awful schools it's going to hurt your OPW which factors in to the same extent as your own winning percentage.

For reference everyone:

Maybe a dumb question, but is your future opponents current RPI calculated in your current RPI? Obviously they will change as those teams win and lose games, but will it not impact your RPI at all until after you play? This would reward stronger districts and punish a good teams in weak ones.

I'm not sure how it would punish them any more or less than it does already by calculating it each week as your team plays each opponent?

I guess what I mean is, you shouldn't get too excited where you are at if you are from a weak district. Unless they are already somehow calculated in. I doubt they are, but being hopeful.

For example, Graves RPI is second in 5A. Our District opponents are super low, besides Owensboro. I'm guessing we can only go down even if we win out.
