Sloppy game. Mayfield left 3 scores out there. Mayfield fumbled the ball and was heavily penalized in this game. Against a good team these mistakes will get you beat. Caldwell couldn’t move the ball at all, they were set up on all their scoring by fumbles and penalty’s.

Not great offensively. Better Defensively.

They couldn't move the ball at all offensively. Defensively they had some bright spots.

I seriously wonder if this was a record for Mayfield in penalty yards.  I want to see how many yards we had in penalties, guessing over 200. Couple this with 3 or 4 ( not sure) turnovers and you have the mess we had last night.

Facts rolling in after listening to coaches show. 20 penalties on Mayfield set a record.  5 were horse collar!  They did not have a single first down other than via penalty and we did not punt last night but had 4 turnovers. All this together made for a bizarre game.  For context, we had 3 turnovers all year going into this game.

The Caldwell game is always the most penalized game year after year.

#24 played a great defensive game, he was on the quarterback so, bad I am sure when Caldwell’s qb  took his j jersey off and shook it # 24 fell out of it.

Solid win for Mayfield but more importantly i think their defense is getting better. I expected them to win but give up 30+ pts as they did to similar talent-level local schools.

2:30 left in the game and Mayfield ran the ball (long run by Galbreath) to the 5 yard line of Caldwell. We took a knee on the 5 to end the game. Coach Joe is a class act.

Caldwell is not a score 30+ kind of team this year. Mayfield certainly wasn’t giving up 30 on them.

They couldn't move the ball at all. We fumbled and gave them short fields. Penalty's hurt us too.  Mayfield played good defense. It was a sloppy effort and that will get you beat against a good team.
