snakesnot_2000 Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 Sloppy game. Mayfield left 3 scores out there. Mayfield fumbled the ball and was heavily penalized in this game. Against a good team these mistakes will get you beat. Caldwell couldn’t move the ball at all, they were set up on all their scoring by fumbles and penalty’s. 2

Toothpick Posted October 2, 2021 Posted October 2, 2021 I seriously wonder if this was a record for Mayfield in penalty yards. I want to see how many yards we had in penalties, guessing over 200. Couple this with 3 or 4 ( not sure) turnovers and you have the mess we had last night.

They did not have a single first down other than via penalty and we did not punt last night but had 4 turnovers. All this together made for a bizarre game. For context, we had 3 turnovers all year going into this game. 1

They couldn't move the ball at all. We fumbled and gave them short fields. Penalty's hurt us too. Mayfield played good defense. It was a sloppy effort and that will get you beat against a good team.
