I believe my gang will make a trip to Southwestern next Friday to watch that game.

This was a great game to watch. Tilghman came back from being down 30-10 and had some chances late in the fourth, but it just didn’t happen for them. CAL’s #16 Copenhaver is an absolute stud! Any team would be glad to have that guy.

It’s no secret in Adair County that they are going after Steve Stonebraker. There are other schools calling him as well, as they do every season.

The only thing I can say about this game for certain is that one of these teams will be 12-1 after Friday night ?. This game definitely has the potential to be a great game, and maybe one of the best games in the state Friday.

Casey was out matched in this game. PT had too many athletes and too much speed for the Rebels. Casey's season was a lot better than predicted. Some people had predicted Casey going 0-10 on the season. The Rebels finished 8-4 and proved a lot of people wrong and won the first district title in school history to boot. It was a huge improvement over the past two seasons.

All Mayfield in this one. Metcalfe has had a great year, but just like Green County last year, their season will end in Mayfield. Mayfield 42-7

FD will be too much for the Yellow Jackets. Coach Johnson is doing great things at Wolford, but Douglass is on another level this year.

This will be a great game. My crew plans on making the drive to Louisville to watch this game. I do believe this game will produce the 3A champ.

Casey’s defense looks like Swiss cheese. Should be a great matchup between CAL and PT next week

I don’t think Coach Hill enjoyed his time at Casey very much ?. I’ve had multiple players tell me stories of how he would say, “I hate you, I hate every £€^* one of you” and then throw his clipboard in the air about 10-15 feet ?. They laugh telling those stories now. Stonebraker has done a fabulous job at Casey and has been able to do what no other coach has ever been able to do and that is win, and win fairly consistently. He deserves all the praise for what he has done. Casey has 55 kids on the roster this season which is the most they’ve ever had. I have watched enough film on PT to know they are the best team Casey has faced this season and probably the best team since they played Corbin in 2018.

Boyd's season, along with a few other #1 seeds, will end on Friday night.

There is not much that these two teams have in common other than Dan Hill and their offenses use a lot of the same formations and plays. PT has won multiple state championships, and Casey has just won their first district title (big difference). The only people that believe Casey County can win is probably the players for Casey County. 95% of the kids on that team have no idea of PT's history and success. It may be a blessing and a curse that they don't. The good thing for the Rebels is that they believe in theirselves and that may be their greatest weapon come Friday. Because on paper, there is no way the Rebels should win this ballgame. I know that they shouldn't, and probably won't, but I'll still hold out some hope that the stars will align and Casey will move on to play another round.

As a player, let me have a chance to compete regardless of what the out come may be. Not all kids play other sports and this is their everything. As a team, they may know what the inevitable result will be, but I would want to be able to play. It’s a little more time on the field that I wouldn’t have gotten other wise.

Casey County’s first coach at the school was an assistant from Paducah Tilghman, Dan Hill. 1973 was the only season he would coach at Casey.

Yes it does! At the high school level, it was not tolerated by our coach. It was completely unacceptable in practice and certainly on the field. At college, there was a fight very often during practice and there was never any consequences for it.

I was told tonight that it was confirmed that the Smiths will not be playing tomorrow night.

Unless Trigg Co has their QB back, I'll go with Hart Co. Trigg's QB is a difference maker.

It looks like Adair has had 7 coaches in the past 20 seasons (Eric Graves was the HC 2 of those times). It is hard for a program to have success consistently when you don't have a coach that stays longer than 3 or 4 seasons.

Adair has a lot of potential in my opinion, BUT it will take a lot of work and someone who is willing to dig their heels in and build it from the feeder program up. Adair usually has some athletes to work with. I've also heard rumors that Adair's enrollment numbers may take them to 4A. I don't know if that is correct, like I said, it was a rumor.
