The Rebels hit to road to take on the 1 seed from District 6, Boyd County. Boyd County enters the game at 8-3 winners of their last 4 in a row including last weeks 41-14 win over Anderson County in the first round. Boyle enters at 9-2 and beat Rowan County 49-0 last Friday night to advance to this game. Comparing common opponents Rowan and Anderson counties Boyd needed OT to beat Rowan 14-7 on Oct 21 and Boyle beat Anderson 36-0 on Oct 14. This is the first meeting between the 2 schools. The general consensus is that Boyle should roll in this one but can the long road trip and/or looking ahead to a potential rematch with Lex Cath next week cause Boyle’s season to end earlier than anyone anticipated?

    It’s been a great season for the Lions of Boyd County. If you look at their 3 losses they are “good” losses. But I feel Boyle County will steam roll Boyd County. Their schedule has been much tougher and they are on a mission. Running clock first half. 

    Just keep the buses running…this won’t take long.

    Boyd's season, along with a few other #1 seeds, will end on Friday night.

    Boyd County has had a great season, one that has shown much improvement from seasons past.  But, I'm afraid that all comes to an end this week.  I don't think they are ready for Boyle County.

    Boyle County will roll and advance. 

    The Rebels will be ready for this game.   They will not overlook this team.

    Boyd County has taken a huge step forward this season, but it takes years of growth to compete with a program of Boyle's stature. The Rebels should roll with little trouble.

    The Lions are just a couple of plays away from ten wins. This year, and this week's game - win or lose - will serve as building blocks for the future. Just seeing Boyle up close will be big for Boyd's program.
