  1. Hughes out of Cincinatti, Ohio will be traveling down the long and tuff road to play the Corbin Redhounds on Friday 8 P.M. The Redhounds are in the process of completing a 9.5 milliion dollar stadium to put turf down over the grass. The game will be moved to the Cumberland College Football Field in Williamsburg due to construction of new stadium and turf field. Hughes is coming off of a 6-4 regular season last year. Corbin on the other hand is coming off an impressive 14-1 season with the only loss in the championship game of the 4A title game to Boyle County by a score of 32-26. Corbin has high expectations in returning to Kroger Field in 2023. Corbin is returning Kade Elam at QB and if you haven't seen this kid play, you might want to buy plenty of popcorn. They return plenty of fire power on the receiving corp. Keep your eyes on Eli Pietrowski, Zander Curry and Carter Stewart. During the off season, they have added some Somerset Transfers being Guy Bailey at RB and on the defensive side of the ball the Twins formerly of Somerset. Jacob and Jerod Smith. Two 4 star prospects that will make opposing offenses second guess there play calling. I think Corbin is the favorite in this mathup. What do you think?
  2. Highlands wins. They should be rested up from 2 scrimmages in 5 day’s. I think they have a good year! Highlands 28 Lexington Catholic 14
  3. I have to go with Quisenberry. The game plan from an opponent has to account for him no matter where he is. He can change the game in all aspects, offense, defense, special teams, QB. RB, Slot, Wide Receiver. Punt returns, and like a rocket.
  4. I’d say if true, no doubt an appeal will happen.
  5. I always have Franklin County as a contender in 4A because of coaches like this. It doesn’t matter what their record is during the season, they bring it in the playoffs. That’s a testament to the coaching staffs preparation.
  6. Logan County may be the favorite. It’s a good district regardless.
  7. After refreshing my computer thinking I had lost the page lol....Guru tricked me LOL, Good one brother. 1. Pikeville 2. Raceland 3. Hazard 4. Newport Catholic 5. Holy Cross
  8. My preseason top 5 1. Beechwood 2. Mayfield 3. LCA 4. Owensboro Catholic 5. Breathitt County
  9. My preseason top 5 1. St. X 2. Male 3. Trinity 4. Frederick Douglass 5. Ballard / Bullitt East
  10. My preseason top 5 1. Bowling Green 2. Scott County 3. Owensboro 4. Highlands 5. Southwestern
  11. My preseason 3A Top 5 1. Central 2. Cal 3. Lexington Catholic 4. Belfry 5. Elizabethtown
  12. 1. Boyle 2. Corbin/Johnson Central 3. Covington Catholic/Franklin County 4. Paducah Tilghman 5. Bardstown that's my preseason top 5 plus a couple lol.
  13. I have become a fan of Douglas! I like what they are doing. I was really impressed with last year’s Championship run! I look forward to watching them in a few games this season!
  14. Ashland got moved up to 4A.
  15. I think you said it best when you said QB or Offensive lineman. With all the new offensive schemes today vs just the I-Formation, these kids come out of High School and College with a head full of knowledge. Then add the fact that they play about as much online with the games and their knowledge is unlimited.
  16. Corbin in 2022 was a few plays away from capuring its first title in 40 years. If you missed last years 4A finals on Kroger Field, you may have missed on of the best games of the weekend. Corbin brings back most of the team from a year ago. Being led by QB Kade Elam who passed for 2455 yards and 33 touchdown completions and rushed for 520 yards and 14 Touchdowns as the team finished 2nd in scoring in 4A at 41.3 points per game. Kade will have some help at the receiver positions being Carter Stewart who caught 53 passes for 1055 yards and 9 touchdowns. Eli Pietrowski who as a Freshman had 22 receptions for 317 yards and 4 touchdowns. On the offensive line Corbin returns All-State Left Tackle Franklin West who is just a hand full on both sides of the ball. Corbin's Defense also finished the season ranked 2nd only giving up 13.5 points per game. Corbin will also be putting the finishing touches on a new 9.5 million dollar facility that includes a Turf Field. So 2023 looks to be a very exciting time for the Redhound faithful.
  17. Congratulations to the winners!!!! Thanks for the fun another year!!!
  18. I am hearing a possibility that Greer is retiring. Haddix will stay at Boyle County.
