Coaching changes at Corbin and Boyle County?

I have been sitting on this for awhile and wanted to wait until the season was over but there is a lot of talk going on that there will be head coaching changes at both schools.  Is anyone else hearing this?  Is there any truth to it?  Or is it just rumor mongering?

This is the first time I've even heard of this.  Lord Guru, what are you trying to do get down from cloud 9 right now.

We can see from the first response that there is something to this.  How much, who knows but since it is being discussed around the state (and a lot at the state finals) it is fair game here at BGP.

Guru you aren’t the only one that heard this, I heard it too, I was shocked when I heard it as well.

I can see Haddix moving to the college ranks if anything. Not sure there are many stronger high school jobs to pursue, but everyone is to their own. Greer retiring would make sense, especially after a strong finish. I hope he sticks around a little while longer myself.

Been hearing for about a month.  Greer retiring and Corbin attempting to bring Haddix back.  Nothing against Corbin by any means but why would he go back.

Exactly my thoughts.  The notion that Haddix would go "backwards" from where he is just doesn't make any sense.  No matter how much Corbin thinks of themselves, their tradition has gone to a lower level IMO.

I’ve not heard anything about Haddix going anywhere.  Why would he want to? Where would he go and have a better situation than he has now?

Generally speaking, if it was an offer Coach Haddix couldn't refuse.

1. I heard this from two different sources this weekend... as a rumor.  Each version had a different spin/reason.

2. No one I talked to over the weekend really thinks it will happen.

I never brought this up to anyone. Two different people mentioned this to me independently.

Tommy Greer may very well become the Superintendent at Corbin. But, the 2nd part of this rumor, in my opinion and others that I think would know, think this is highly unlikely.

Agree with this 100% if anything haddix would go to college ranks, I don’t think he’d leave for another high school job, but I’ve been wrong before.

Do you really think Corbin can come up with an offer he couldn't refuse that Boyle couldn't match???

Like I said, generally speaking, I am sure a college could come up with an offer Boyle couldn't match.
