I don't think she said anything horrible. I'd go on a limb and say most, if not all of our wives would have said something similar. Its obvious the Haddix Family feels as if they were forced out by Corbin and the administration to make Greer head coach, so I guarantee they wanted to win that game more so than any of the others. 

I have no idea what really happened behind the scenes at Corbin, and won't pretend to, but I do know beating the team you left, and that you feel forced you out, had to be a pretty sweet feeling.

Well if they were forced out after Haddix had that program competing for titles, move their family, and she had to change jobs I wouldn't be mad at anything she said I would be mad at the Administration that made them feel forced out and for having to watch the guy that was forced out win 3 titles in a row.

Those comments seem pretty harmless to me so unless she is on the record saying far worse "the wife comments" appear to be a nothing burger. 

One final note and you can go read the article if you want but apparently Mrs. Haddix and Travis Leffew got in a "fight" over the game ball and she won and was quoted as saying, “I was told to protect the ball."

Has nothing to do with what she said after the game it was during warm-ups! What she was yelling at teenage kids.

When I said Corbin fans were delusional to think that Haddix would come back to coach, I was trying to be nice. Please understand that his wife said "we" in her statement not "I". That family is a team, probably too much for some to understand. THEY ARE NOT COMING BACK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So just so I'm understanding this correctly, she was yelling from the opposite side of the field from where Corbin's sideline was, yet you or whoever you heard this from could decipher what she said to players during warm ups? Kroger field is a quite a large facility...

Sounds fishy. I would like to hear a little more elaboration from you on this to better understand the context of what you said happened.

We didn't hear it or everyone would have known that night,12 players and 3 coaches did tho. Still sound fishy?

Incredibly.

Haddix has been a wonderful coach at Corbin and Boyle Co., the only way he exits Boyle Co. would be for a job at his alma mater WKU as an OC or QB coach or both, and that is a possibility.

I've wondered about this myself. Any time a successful high school coach is out there, college could be an option. The problem is a small college assistant doesn't pay a ton and a big college assistant is extremely volatile and can end at any time. It is all about whatever the person's goals are, but there's a lot to be said for coaching a really good high school football team.

Plus the state pension if you are a teacher.

I never brought this up to anyone. Two different people mentioned this to me independently. 

Tommy Greer may very well become the Superintendent at Corbin. But, the 2nd part of this rumor, in my opinion and others that I think would know, think this is highly unlikely. 

Well.. bottom line after 4 days.... looks like Coach Haddix will be a Rebel in 2023.
