Believe I said this in a thread a couple weeks ago, Conner is very up and down! Congrats to both teams though on a hard fought game..

Woodland? Can’t go to Scott as an 8th grader, or did he stay at Turkeyfoot and jsuy play up for Scott in the 8th?

Some of the big games throughout the years though has brought in 5-10k, a lot of basketball junkies up here that don’t make the stadium feel so big!

9th is pretty awesome every year at NKU, you know your gonna see some talented ball.

Wow this might be somewhat alarming regardless of any parameters people want to put in play. Holmes has 1 win over Dayton and it was by 4 , and I’ve watch D3 schools beat up on them. Conner has played up and down to competition quite a bit, and I think they will get popped by and underdog before they even see CCH again. Somebody like a Lloyd, Newport, Cooper or St.Henry!

It was the same thing last year, their path to the title was the path of least resistance to put it nicely. The 10th is terrible and they had a really really good draw, they didn’t get tested until the final 4. I think if you put them in the 6th,7th,8th,9th they don’t make it out of region last year or this year.

Yeah I’m taking Conner over North at this point hands down, they don’t impress me outside of Reed. And he hasn’t played as good this year! That’s just one team, Conner plays in one of the hardest regions in the state and has some wins against top top teams. In my honest opinion I think people take the lazy route or might just not have the time of their day to get a good feel of most teams.

Why’s Conner not on here? That’s wild, they just blew Mason doors off and they have a win over CCH.

No doubt about that, kids continue to move into the district from what I hear as well!

I love the move to 3A for the Juggs, it’s a shame that they are in a district with LexCath though. That’s gonna be super tough for years to come when it comes to postseason play.

Ah I see, just the wording was a little off on both ends. Regardless though to say it’s ever wide open I just can’t get on board with wide open. Still 2-3 teams at the end of the day imo.

I’ll give you the 8th has forsure performed better this year, but year in and out no comparison. But this specifically Lloyd has been around 7-10 in the 9th, some people on here said SK has a shot at the 8th. And you honestly think the 8th this year just 1-10 is as strong as the 9th? I can’t agree with that.

9th vs 8th is night and day honestly!

I disagree, not totally open. Yes a handful of teams but probably closer to 3, you have to really have an identity or a go to guy that can control tempo. There close games lately each one of those teams have a guy like that. North has Reed. Conner and Campbell have the Hamiltons, and Lloyd has two D1 kids that on their best night can play with anybody. And Cooper defensive identity can keep them in it with anyone sometimes. But to act like CCH still isn’t pretty heavy favorites would be foolish. I’m taking them over the field no doubt!

It is every year, outside of one dominant team who would dominant most regions. It’s A battle year in and year out for the 9th. You could take these two teams for example put them in surrounding regions and they are competing hard as a top team. Look at the ALLA for example you could take a number of teams from the 9th and they would be considered favorites in the 8th or 10th All A.

Wow major surprise by the margin of victory especially without arguably your second or 3rd best player. They play like this they will get through the region with ease, even though that has been questioned since the Conner game. With this score and the GC-Conner score, I’ll go ahead and say that game was their wake up anomaly!

Basketball is a shooters game, congrats to the cougars on the win. With Newport playing really good and this, the region might actually be open for the taking. Colonels will bounce back harder after this, long long season.

Yeah but their length wasn’t the issue, it was the clunky offense with a couple bigs and forcing it. They play so spread open now they will be a tougher out this year watch.

They have played and beat teams longer than WC. Didn’t seem to bother them last year in the semis. That game was for right there for either team to win!

No doubt, the bottom bracket was loaded like no other. You take anyone of those top teams we mentioned and switched with GRC, you’d really wonder who would have done what. I don’t think it’s a coincidence now that the schedule is a little better(not by much) they are losing more.
