  1. Is Lloyd underachieving this year?
  2. I believe Mr. William Herald had 10 made 3's for Highlands. Gotta find THAT guy.
  3. Points. LOTS of points.... That is my prediction.
  4. This is good for the Birds. They have to learn to get an occasional stop or two. Otherwise any decent offensive team will give them trouble. #4 House for Seneca is a dude.
  5. Birds couldn’t guard the ball or hit a shot. Recipe for disaster.
  6. Couldn’t feel more strongly about this. These are great bonding trips for teams that travel. Used to coach at a NKY high school and our Christmas trips down south in hotel rooms were great ways to create team chemistry. These also allow teams from different areas of the state to see each other. Love these. If teams don’t like them then they can choose to not participate.
  7. They were missing career 50% from 3 point range sniper Will Herald. That makes a difference. Without Will you can focus the defense on Moeves and everyone else doesn’t get the same open looks. With Herald and Moeves on the floor, along with the other capable shooters, it’s pick your poison.
  8. A coach in the program’s brother is their head coach.
  9. I can say with certainty that Coach Listerman is currently on the phone cancelling games with anyone left on the schedule with a losing record. He is ONLY calling teams with winning records. I will update when I can confirm any changes.
  10. Still have to make the shots. I don't think scoring will be an issue. Will they keep averaging 90? I don't know. The bigger issue will be can they get a stop when they need it. When other teams can score and keep up the pace will they buckle down and get a stop. If they can do this, I think they challenge CovCath for the region.
  11. Amazing 8th grade game last night between 8th Grade St Pius and Highlands. 56-50 win for the 8th grade Birds. Lots of talent on the floor on both sides. These two teams have to be the favorites.
  12. He’s fine. Scoreboard operator currently has the high score on the pinball game at 915.
  13. This version of the Birds is a “lite” version of their state title team. They have a chance to make some noise in the 9th. I’m not sure if “live by 3 die by 3” applies to this group. They have so many shooters. Such a fun group.
  14. Not sure, but if you have a garage pass it doesn’t matter ??‍♂️ ?
  15. St Henry at Highlands. Contrast of styles. Can the Cru keep this game in the 60’s or do the Birds get north of 80 where they are hard to beat. Shots tend to fall in the Nest.
  16. I think using the word "huge" is a bit of a stretch. Is CCH the favorite? Probably. But I feel more confident this year saying that any one of 4-5 teams could beat them. Will they, IDK? I think any of Lloyd, Cooper, Highlands, Conner, and possibly a healthy St. Henry can give them an L. I don't think one could say that about so many teams the last 4-5 years. Defensive stops are great and they for sure help you win, but teams like Lloyd, Highlands, and Conner who can fill it up on the offensive end always have a chance.
  17. I'm not exactly sure where Highlands will end in the rankings, but they will not have a boring game all year. Such a fun team to watch. Can get white hot at any time. If they can guard and rebound, they will be a tough beat for anyone. Nathan Vinson looks more and more like his older brother every time I see him, and that's scary for the rest of the 9th.
  18. The Birds open the season 3-0 with a quality win in Lexington.
  19. Green was coming off multi-day illness. Played, but not normal minutes and wasn’t herself. Not saying this changed the outcome, but definitely contributed to the margin of victory for Dixie.
  20. Birds open the season hot from deep and hang triple digits in Taylor Mill.
