I don't think you necessarily can tell these teams apart from their common opponents Paris scored more, but Sayre allowed half as many points. Last year when they played Sayre won 15-12, though Sayre's Brock Coffman, their WR with multiple D1 offers DNP in the Paris game last year. Both squads returned the majority of their teams, and I'm looking forward to seeing this one in person, as it should be a classic and a future district rivalry. I'd be surprised if Paris had 30 yards rushing? Though that was an amazing catch by Ransom? Paris' Dline was pretty stout for the first half. I don't think this game was ever in doubt, Raceland failed to score twice in the Redzone in the first half, realistically it could have been at least 24-0 at the half. Every time Paris scored, Raceland answered immediately. Paris is who I thought they were, and if they meet up again in Raceland, it'll be the same result.

I think Paris wins this one rather handily, though I would hesitate to say they are back until they get a significant program win. Was Rockcastle a good win for Paris? Yeah, was it significant? No. If they can stay within 14 points of Raceland, I'll be a believer. Paris is going in the right direction, and maybe their schedule didn't pan out like they planned, they're a good 1A team, not great.

Paris won’t get a true test until they face The Rock in a few weeks. 1A is really bad this year.

Two years prior to Holcomb they were 2-18, 19-8 in the past two years with a trip to Semi-State and Region this year. Seems like they're pretty competitive to me...

Looks like the KHSAA is giving a subtle hint to Trinity that they need to become a non sanctioned prep school. It also shows that Classes 1-3A will get favoritism for playing up, and that you’re basically doomed if 5A/6A if you don’t play your class. I know RPI matchups only matter to your class, but releasing them all together was a huge mistake.

Flawed? I once read Dontaie Allen put up 32 and 16 as a freshman, on a stout Paris team. Dontaie has been a stud since his freshman year.
