I really like WCs 6-6 power forward Darrell Bowman. He has a nice stroke and plays well around the basket. If he chose to lose about 15-20 lbs. he'd really be a player. He hit three 3s in a scrimmage at Ballard Saturday and I don't believe he missed a free throw. A slimmer Bowman would equal a better motor. Just my opinion.

I'd rank Ballard somewhere around #15.

Ballard was about 15 points better than Warren Central yesterday. Warren Centrals big man Bowman scored around 25. Ballards shooting guard Alvey scored 29 while hitting 7 threes. Jamil Wilson is clearly an elite point guard for Ballard.

Team will depend a ton on point guard Connor McKim. He's an athletic senior who saw substantial playing time last year. William Olsen is another senior who will be depended on. He's a skilled 3 who has a nice stroke and a basketball pedigree. His dad played at Tampa U and his grandfather is the former AD at UofL. After those two- the talent pool dwindles quickly. They all can shoot though! If there was ever a year for them to beat Trinity, this is the year.

I wish I had a ticket to the T-Male game. I'm kinda feelin like Shooter in the hospital wearing the straight jacket. I'll have to listen to the game on the Philco.

We knew by January 1 about Perry. It'll shake out by then.

Taylor County vs Central...wow! Fern Creek vs BG... Bullitt East vs Waggener- all excellent matchups.

If X wants to right the ship they better get better athletes. Win- and win with athletes who want to be part of something bigger than is going on in schools like Ballard, Manual, PRP and Eastern. Now you can add X to that list. (Never thought I'd say that.) Trinity and Male got the best of the best of the class of 2016 to climb aboard. They did and because of that they're rewarded another Friday night of high school football.

Trinity won in 2012 behind kentuckys mr basketball. A big by the name of Nathan Duidende... Pardon the spelling. Taylor County got to the sweet 16 last year in part because of an undersized transfer who topped out at 6-3. He went to work for those guys- he's gone.

There are four 7th region teams that can hang with Taylor County and not talking about Louisville Eastern! Central is bigger and just as athletic. Ballard will be Ballard- again. Trinity will get in your pants this year of defense...and Waggener will pound you on the glass. After hearing that Jonathon Lane may not be academically eligible for Eastern- I now take them off the list.

Hate to see either team lose this game. Either would roll any team out there with the exception of Male.

Love to see a school that utilizes their tight end. He obviously was featured in the offense and look where it got him.

Looks like the Manual-Ballard game could go the crimsons way (#3 seed). Ballard was penalized heavily the first time they played and lost a close one that came down to an incompletion in the endzone in the final seconds. Can Ballard shore up those penalties? Maybe not...they were penalized 13 times for 125 yards just last week.

Waggener will most likely have to rely on being a halfcourt team. Unfortunately for them most every other 7th region team likes to push the pace except for X. Still no one can match their size and contain Hill in the post. Hill will be a monster. Hubbards Lane hasn't seen anything like him since Rick Henry.
