Why should they field a football team? No one comes to the games. They barely have enough players to field a team. Why not skip football and get on with some of the sports they seem to be able to compete in. Maybe the state would allow Atherton students that want to play football to do so at another JCPS. This is done in other states. Makes sense to me.

Jordan Whiting stepped in for Wes Weitlauf during the playoffs and showed us that the future is bright at LB at Trinity. He had the defensive play of the state game when he buried Vince Murray of Ryle for about a 5 yard loss on a critical third down. It was over after that play. OBTW, Wes will be back for one more year giving the Rocks a pretty dynamic duo at the LB position next year.

Maybe Atherton should consider dropping football.

It would be hard to leave Barclay off any Male All-Time team. I just noticed that Chris is hanging in there with the Browns. He was a great Bulldog. IMO.

You might want to do a fact check prior to posting. FYI, unlike CC and Highlands the Rocks and Tigers actually win a game with the Cincy teams once in a while.:sssh:

A new low. Now we have to hear the "depth" crying in basketball. If depth is a factor how come Trinity and X never win squat in basketball? I remember watching Trinity get beat a few years ago by some school called Caverna that I had never heard of. Turns out that they had like a hundred kids but one of them was a 6'7" kid from Nigeria named Boris.

I like to Lou Holtz "poor mouth" as much as anyone, but I don't think it will fly this year. The Rocks have 7 returning starters (9 if you count kids that started some games). I remember back just a few years ago when the Rocks routinely returned only one or two. Heck, in 2001 they returned none. I just hope the Rocks don't have a repeat of 2004. The similarities are there. Highly ranked preseason, coming off multiple championships without the QB that was the cornerstone of those teams. I think the coaching staff is a little more settled at this point than it was then. I also think the Rocks will get a wake-up call in week three up in Cincy if they have the "big-head". I can't wait, when does 7 on 7 start?

We will find out soon enough. I just hope the Rocks aren't on the short end of one of those shockers. Thumbs up to butler for scheduling Trinity.:thumb:

First of all the show is on MTV not ESPN. The school considered strongly not renewing the contract for this season due to finances and bad publicity. The school gets none of the show's profit. The school also has no rights to DVD sales. When the school tried to redo the contract MTV told them to get lost as there are plenty of schools to choose from. I guess maybe the school sells a few more tickets, cokes and hotdogs but they aren't getting rich. FYI, I've been to Hoover and those facilities were there before the show was ever thought of. There are quite a few articles written on the subject, overall the opinion is pretty much split over if it was worth doing.

If there is a Catholic high school in America that is as nice as MBA they should be ashamed of themselves. MBA is a school for rich kids plain and simple, that kind of opulence shouldn't be allowed to exist in a Catholic school system.

HMMM... all that makes sense right up to point where CovCath gets more players than all those others combined. I'm not saying that they don't play good football in NKY, I'm saying (along with a few others) that while CovCath may be the darling of NKY and BGP this season, maybe having more than twice as many players as any other team may be over doing it. If you are putting that "quote" on me, please provide proof of where and when.

The insulting tone of your post isn't deserved or appreciated. No one is asking for domination of lists. In fact they are questioning the domination of the list. I (as well as others) have not dismissed any of the kids that made the team, they didn't choose themselves. I am of the opinion that it is not as well done as the other polls.

Congrats on your all-world "Harbin Cow" status. The Rocks didn't lose in state either yet CovCath has two and a half times as many players as Trinity. BTW, I'll get excited about your out of state schedule when you actually beat an Ohio Powerhouse.

I disagree with you. We should not bring the kids into the discussion, they didn't vote for themselves. I do agree with Diogenes. This poll reflects the NKY heavy nature of this site. I think you missed Diogene's point. Maybe the kid from NewCath is the top kid in the state, he isn't questioning that. He is questioning how NKY has twice as many members as Jefferson County. If its a "share the credit" type of senario, how do you explain five from CovCath? I won't stoop to proclaiming this poll a"joke" as some have about others, but I wouldn't condemn anyone for doing so.
