First, I didn't compare the NFL to Kentucky 4A football. I used the Patriots margin of victory as a point to debunk your point about Trinity's margin of victory. But I think you knew that. To your second point, why? One might also think that since H and X face each other year after year their teams would enter the final battle-hardened and ready to lay waste to the untested Shamrocks. Its not like the Rocks don't have to play one or the other at some point. If we just use the time frame that you cited its Rocks-4, X-1, and H-0 with the Rocks never being defeated by either of the other two. I think you hit the nail on the head with your original post but tryed to down play it. The largest ingredient that separates Trinity from the other two is coaching. It was evident with Coach Lampley and its now the case with Coach Beatty.

I think Trinity fans have more reason to be interested in the remarks of the Coach of our arch rival than you have in our response. I guess I'm wrong since you have more posts on this thread than any Trinity fan to date. Are you that "thin-skinned? Or are you just wanting to get some jabs in yourself?":D

To your last point. 2000 was a surprise visit to the finals. Even though Male kicked our butt, the Rocks were in the first year of a new system with a brand new HC and he lead us to a pretty big victory over the defending 4A champion St.X Tigers. Things were looking up. 95 to 98 was depressing even though it included a trip to the final. During that period spirits were down, hence the decision to bring in a new coach in 99. I really feel that Kevin Wright would have been able to lead the Rocks back to being champs. Maybe not as dominate as Bob has been able to, but he is a fine coach as well. As far as the margin of victory goes, whats your point? I'm betting that unless Indy can get that Brady monkey off their back today, New England will be considered #1 with Indy a distant #2. Check out their average margin of victory in the big games and I think you will find it to be as slim as the Rocks. They are no less a dynasty however.

Coach Glaser predicts next year's team will be better than last year's team. He mentioned that last year X had two (yes thats T-W-O, 2) losses:rolleyes: . There were plenty of Male posters after 2000 and leading up to 2001. There were many spirited T/H threads in those days. Thats back when H used to listen to the games long distance from Michigan. Ah, the good old days.

There has been a lot of discussion over the years on this board about how the Big Three is set apart from the rest of 4A. It is no secret that the Big Three has dominated 4A in the past. The point of this thread was ask if there exists a similar gap between Trinity and X/H? I think a case can be made for this theory. A number posters have displayed the data that could be used to support the claim. It has nothing to do with "modesty", its just a question up for discussion during the off season.

I guess you weren't there because the score was 21-7 at half and it was all Trinity at that point. Male came out on fire and took the lead. The Rocks then settled down and took the lead back. The Rocks held on to win and the rest is history. So it was really a case of the 3rd quarter being all Male. The game is still on Insight On-Demand for your viewing pleasure.

Trinity and X have around 1,400 boys. A school with 2,800 students would likely have that many boys. That isn't "huge" by standards in other states.

Is it time to admit that Trinity is the top program in 4A (soon to be 6A) and the other two members of the so called Big Three have fallen a notch below. X and Male are still 2 and 2A but Trinity has as many titles as those two combined. This decade Trinity has won 4 out 6 years while the other two have collected 1 a piece. If the Rocks are able to win it all again this season to kick off the introduction of 6A I'd say that all doubt may have been removed. This would give the Rocks a "repeat three-peat". It has been posted on this site in the past few years that "these things go in cycles" and that it is like "a pendulum". Currently the facts don't support such theories. Your thoughts.

What limits does Highlands have in admitting students from outside Ft. Thomas? Isn't it possible to pay tuition and play for Highlands? What is the cost of Highlands tuition?
