This is what the Guru stated in another thread.....What does everybody think about this BOLD statement????

Same response as in the other thread:

One major problem that CovCath (and every other private school) will face in doing this is the spiraling cost of tuition to attend. Over $21,000 for 4 years now will be what $$$ three years from now? What $$$ five years from now?At what price does enrollment decrease?

Yes, they have the potential to dominate everyone in NKY.

They draw from a larger talent base.

Meaning they draw from 4 counties Kenton, Boone, Campbell and

even Grant so that is where their advantage would or could come from.

Highlands, while they do get some students(players) from outside of their

district it is still not as large population as CCH.

I, for one, believe Guru is correct. They will dominate every team in NKY. Except for one. We all know who that is!!!!!!

Covington Catholic has won 4 out of the last 20 vs. Highlands. 19-39 overall vs. the Birds. A long way to go to get to domination...

This is true they do have along way to go, but they could.

Not likely ,but certainly possible to flip the script.

We are not talking about the past Gunner.

Again, if CCH hires a coach that will go out and promote the benefits of a Catholic education to prospective students they will dominate NKY football.

CCH had that coach in Lynn Ray(Great coach)!!! Not sure you could have had a better promoter of CCH than he.

This would absolutely never happen. I'm not just basing that on homer-ism. Cov Cath would be back into a position of battling back and forth with Highlands; but they wouldn't dominate, by any stretch of the imagination.

The Birds have a system -- a culture -- in place that would meet any challenge brought on by any changes at Cov Cath. This will always be a rivalry. It may (sooner or later) be a much better one; but it will never be consistently owned by Cov Cath.
