LBBC,
The KHSAA doesn't need subpoena power. The KHSAA is made up of members. If one of the members won't comply with an investigation they can be kicked out. I think most would choose to comply.
Is this question a joke? Not going to class is not a serious rule? The last time I checked the U in UK stood for university (thats some sort of school I think).
I read this recently. The kid never seemed to live up to his potential but I know that Cat fans were hoping that he would step up in his senior year and make an impact. Seems like it won't happen now due to violation of team rules. Is it me or does UK have a lot of suspensions?
Haven't you guys with "sources" learned your lesson? Show me the "hate for UK" in that post. I just pointed out the facts as they were reported by the professionals and not the cousin of some guy that works at the bank that Mitch uses. Note the part of the post where I say that a previous consolation pick (Pitino) worked out OK.
I agree it isn't an issue with me, however Cat fans have a history of making off court/field antics an issue with their rivals. I guess they are in for a dose of their own medicine.
Its pretty obvious from media reports that Donovan was #1. Then they asked to speak to Barnes. His response was that he had no interest in the job. They then went on to Gillispie. Why is this so hard for rabid UK fans to accept? After Sutton, Pitino wasn't the first guy contacted. They were turned down by a couple of others. That turned out OK.
The kid is a Texas kid that signed with a Texas school. I know he must really like Gillispie but IMO it comes down to who replaces Gillispie. If its someone on the current staff with history with the kid he is more likely to stay. JMO, of course.
Why would that matter? As far as "quickly" goes, they moved from Donovan to Barnes within hours. Why couldn't they go from Barnes to Gillispie as "quickly"?
All that may be true. I just thought and still think that Brooks was a poor hire. We will just have to agree to disagree. We both remember when UK was a pretty good football team (my college years were the mid to late seventies).
You may be on to something. Didn't he do the same thing to the Tuna? Then he was able to hire his target all along.... Brooksie. If you are correct we should start checking out the shuffle board games at the retirement homes to find out who the next UK coach might be.
