He was a really nice player. He flew around the field and always was around the play.

Great player! Where is he going to play in college.

Tackett and Johnson from JCHS were great players. The best LB that I seen all year was Flynn from Cov. Cath

I don't know much about Cov Cath or Sam Flynn, but I heard that he was looking hard at Georgetown.

I would like to know what colleges the LB's at Johnson Central are looking at?

Jimmy Blandford, North Bullitt, 6'3" 260 lbs was/is a pretty good one. Averaged 9 tackles per game this year in his junior season.

Jordan Whiting stepped in for Wes Weitlauf during the playoffs and showed us that the future is bright at LB at Trinity. He had the defensive play of the state game when he buried Vince Murray of Ryle for about a 5 yard loss on a critical third down. It was over after that play.

OBTW, Wes will be back for one more year giving the Rocks a pretty dynamic duo at the LB position next year.

Of the one's I watched, Flynn and Gamsky would be the best. X had a pretty good inside linebacker also. Don't recall his name. Number may have been 47, but I'm not sure. Geisen of CovCath also was very solid, but did not get the publicity he deserved because of Flynn also being on the team. Highlands inside linebackers, Stine, Hurtt, Ball and Fitzgerald, all played pretty well considering they were all juniors (only three were, of course, on the field at the same time). Birds should have one of their best linebacking corps in quite some time next year, unless one or more are asked to play a different position to help the team. Even then, they should still be pretty good at that position next year.

Flynn (CovCath) and Gamsky (South Oldham) were head and shoulders above the pack. Tackett and Johnson (both of Johnson Central) were very good as well.
