Does anyone know what the schedules are for the big three in 2007

I know that people are talking about CCH playing both Trinity and St. X. Next year, possibly some great games.

I know I was told last Friday during the finals that Trinity and Manual will no longer play but that Trinity will pick up Bowling Green. That will be a fun series!

A couple of new faces for next year: Central,Cov.Cath.,Ballard, OC. I thought Male would be a home game next year but very happy to see 5 HOME games and one at dear old Manual. It will be great to see a game on campus.

Good schedule. That run starting with Lexington Catholic and ending with Trinity will be brutal.

It's nice to see "at St. Xavier." I think most everyone will miss Manual Stadium and the tradition there, but I'm really looking forward to catching a game on Poplar Level!

^ That is a good schedule... I don't know if they will ever be able to match the neat places they played in this year... but, in my best Tony the Tiger voice... playing in the new den will be greeeeeaaaate!

I hope the Rocks have an open date that matches up with a "home" game for X. I'd love to come over and check out the new place. I'm also thinking that the JV and frosh T/X games will be played at X this year as well.

Intersting. A couple of regrets, a couple of surprises.

 

Regret 1: The Bowling Green games at WKU were good ones. BG/WKU put on a classy contest, the Purples were worthy foes, and their staff and players were gentlemen.

Regret 2: Fort Thomas Highlands had a swagger. This school gave X all they wanted last season, was well coached, and their fans were among the state's best.

 

Surprise 1: X v. Oldham County and X v. Ballard. Trinity posters have indicated an anti-private school bias in their district, but the fact that these two schools voluntarily entered into a two year series with X indicates that not all schools (if any) in the district have this bias.

Surprise 2: X v. Central. At the conclusion of the last series I thought this matchup would never occur.

 

Overall, another forminable schedule. Many CovCath fans felt their team was the best in Kentucky this year, as did Shamrock fans about their team. X meets both, and neither is a home game.

 

XgradROCKdad, you make a keen observation. Last year the Tigers played in some outstanding venues, among them: Historic Manual Stadium, Papa Johns, WKU, and Paul Brown Stadium.

X would enjoy your attendance. I was fortunate enough to attend the opening game at Marshall Stadium, said at the time that it was first class, and posted to that effect. My hope is that X's new stadium comes close to matching Trinity's first class facility.

The new X stadium is expected to cost $7-7.5 million. From what I read, T spent around $3.0 million. For the dollars spent, I should hope our stadium not only matches, but surpasses Marshall Field.

I think 4 team districts and tight travel budgets are forcing many to rethink their attitudes.

I have enjoyed many X games at Historic Manual Stadium over the years. I'll miss the pre-game at Checks but I'm sure the new place will be first class.
