This is a kids game, and that's who it should be about. Sure you're going to see extreme circumstances like the 24-0 game, but more kids will get to play games this way. Why would you want to shorten a kids baseball career?

If Ben Jordan was healthy I think that's the only chance anyone has to beating Greenup, maybe Plank could but Ben would have a better chance. If Rowan saves Plank for game 2, East could do the same with Walburn IMO and win and save him for Greenup. One thing is for sure, if Greenup wins they'll have played 3 top region teams in the tournament.

The only advantage that city/independent schools having over county schools is that it's easier for kids to get to and from practice. Someone explained this me so it isn't my own thought but oh well. Some kids live 45 minutes up a holler in county schools and getting parents or a student that can realistically drive that everyday is tough. Most independent schools, like Ashland and Russell in my area, it's a much closer distance for the students to and from school. I may not be right about the rest of the state but it's at least the case in this area.

Horton looked like the best DL in that video IMO, and Wills the best OL. I'd bet a pretty penny if Horton was about 4 inches taller he'd be ranked in the top 5 at his position and would have more offers than Ball State, Florida Atlantic, and Toledo. If UK offers him then that'll be a major steal for them.

Very rare you see everyone agree on this forum, so that shows how great of a season this team had.

I don't know the kid but I think he has the smarts to get a full ride without the athletic scholarship I do believe. I've never seen a more impressive kicker in person at the HS level though

Depends on the player but in most scenarios I don't think so. If you put a Kash Daniel on a second tier team of contention like Ashland they'd be the state champions I think. But I agree the thread is pointless because if the player is of the caliber that he can make that big of a difference this forum would have known about it before it happened.

Yeah I tend to do that a lot. But Matney was my answer to the thread, but what I meant was sometimes the best head coaches aren't winners. Head Coaches are celebrities in essentially, and serve many roles none probably more important than serving as a male role model in a world where some kids may not have one. As far as accomplishments for Matney, I don't know his total record at JC but he's taken the whole program and rebuilt it from the bottom up. JC should be a top 4 team in their class at the least with the talent that is coming up. He's built a program. He won't be ringless very long

Depends on what you think makes a good head coach. Other important things than winning ball games when it comes to being a head coach. But Jim Matney has built an excellent program at JC

I think it should definitely be allowed. Get about 4 teams together (or more) for a spring football jamboree and play a half or so against eachother. Could be a nice fundraising event honestly. Smaller schools could option out to take the extra fall scrimmage so it's a win-win for both sides honestly.

I don't know anything personally but they should probably start McIntyre at QB. They'll have talented skill guys on the roster, a kid who is going to be a junior this year I think his name is Ekers he's pretty fast from what I saw. But McIntyre Ruggles and Romine. I don't know if they'll have the guys up front for it but we will see.
