Nike+ Regional The Opening (Columbus) Results

Jack Fagot, DB, from Lexington Christian placed top 5

Derrick Barnes, LB/RB, Cov. Holy Cross placed top 8

Congrats to these young men and thanks for representing KY football in a positive manner.

One thing that stuck out to me was Barnes running a 4.73 laser 40 at 241 lbs. I'm impressed.

Rayquan Horton DL (Belfrey) was at this event, but does not have combine results listed. He also competed at the Charlotte Regional and turned in 5.2 sec 40 and 30 inch vertical jump at 310 lbs. Another good effort.

Colton Williams SK did pretty good. Ryle had 3 DB's run 4.7 and Paulson the CAL TE who is 6'5 243 pounds ran a 4.5. Ryle QB measured in 6'0 205.

Ryle had 5 players attend. Besides Tanner, Jake Chisholm (RB 2018), Justin Selby (DB 2018), Jackson High (LB 2017) and Cooper Scherrer (DB 2017) participated. Parker Bisek (OL 2018) was an alternate, last minute addition due to someone dropping out. His father screwed up and didn't check his emails until 2:00 am Saturday morning. So Parker will be attending the Chicago Regional this weekend.

Barnes certainly looks the part.

I think Jack Fagot goes to Lexington Catholic doesn't he?

Horton made the Top 5 for DL.

Horton looked like the best DL in that video IMO, and Wills the best OL.

I'd bet a pretty penny if Horton was about 4 inches taller he'd be ranked in the top 5 at his position and would have more offers than Ball State, Florida Atlantic, and Toledo. If UK offers him then that'll be a major steal for them.

Wills is a stud, no question, I would have liked to have seen him and Ray matched up.

Horton's height hurts him on paper, which is why I'm glad he is making his rounds in these type of events.

Any Golden Tickets handed out for The Opening invites to the KY boys?

I hate that for interior linemen. What is his reach? That's what I care about for a 1 or a 3 technique. 30 in vertical tells me he is explosive enough. 5.2 forty...what was his 10 and 20?
