Maybe if the county would make them pay a $5,000 SEEK to transfer to different schools inside the county maybe Warren Central would still have a decent football team and all the kids would be eligible... But seriously, it's ridiculous that we are in the 3rd week of the season and teams such as South Warren, Greenwood, Franklin, and East still get an answer from KHSAA. Are the coaches just not making the effort to get them eligible or does the process usually take this long? Can someone inform me? I know BG hasn't got a transfer from Warren Central, so I'm not up to speed on the whole situation.

It's a lot easier said than done just because of the athleticism in their skill guys. If any team can take that away from BG, it'd be a tough game. It is something I think X does well. But D. Wilson is one of the best athletes after the catch I've ever seen in high school football. If X controls Wilson and puts the game on the shoulders of Kenner and Carrothers, it will be a shootout like it was a couple years ago. I wouldn't be surprised to see this game go to OT but I'm just looking forward to another awesome game. Not giving a final or who I think will win. Too close to call!

I've heard many good things about Brentwood and they always seem to be pretty good when they play the BG freshman/jv. I'm gonna go with Brentwood but would certainly rather see Trinity pull out the win here

I believe we'll see another running clock. Wondering how Ziyon Kenner will do in his first game against his old school. Kid had my jaw drop with his speed on that opening kickoff last week. Also think that Carrothers will have 3 TD's and won't play much in the 2nd half again. After last week I'm very excited for the rest of the season!! BG 52 CC 14

You can disagree if you want, but going off previous years Mr. Football has been heavily influenced by the type of offers a kid has instead of the stats. I've already given my opinion that it shouldn't be like that and stats over a career should certainly mean more in the voting. Going off your other post, it would be hard to give consideration that Ford is the best player at South Warren when he's not eligible. Especially considering there's only one week until the season starts... Not disrespecting his talents, but I think someone on the field is more valuable than someone waiting on his eligibility on the sidelines.

I just believe that if Litten puts up good numbers through the air, Hayes would be on the receiving end. I'm not taking anything away from Litten, the numbers don't lie. But I agree with you on the point that CJ makes more of an impact this year with the ball getting in his hands a little more. I was just trying to say that if Litten gets more opportunities to throw, Hayes would have a big year with a shot at Mr. Football contention. With the amount of good QB's there are this year, I find it hard for the committee to select him unless he has an unbelievable season. Sadly, Mr. Football is more about the offers than the numbers.

Any player that plays the game smart is usually the one of the best athletes on the field. Most likely, those who are disciplined are less likely to make mistakes and give their full effort. This is a concern I have with JH. On the other end, I don't see anyone on the same level as South Warren until I'm proven otherwise. If anyone from South is going to win it, it's CJ Hayes. If Litten has a big year, that pretty much means CJ will too. Also, personally I can't wait to see what kind of season Jake Johnson has. New QB could either make or break his chance at Mr. Football IMO. And of course, I'm looking forward to watching Mr. Carothers take the field for the Purps. He's so enjoyable to watch on the gridiron and a great kid off the field. Good luck to everyone on this list!!

I could almost guarantee BG would not travel to Northern GA. Even if they did, that'd be the only game they'd travel that far to play in a season. An independent public school can't afford to travel to multiple schools that are over 3 hours away in a single season. As for SW, you could've signed the contract before or tried to scrimmage BG. I'll be more than happy to see your better team line up against Dingle, Kenner, Little Vito, and the rest of the BG Purples for the first time next year.

The only thing I've got is seeing how a team like JC stopped South's run game at points doesn't give me a great impression on how SW would run against BG. Also, I haven't been real big on the decisions of Ryder's passes. And you can't hve bad decisions against BG's secondary because it will cost you. I know this isn't real football, but I remember Ryder throwing 5+ INT's in a cut short 7 on 7 with BG in preseason. But, with the way BG has started to struggle with their O, it would concern me that it'd be hard for us to score points as well. If that's the case, it comes to the special teams department where both teams are pretty even as well..... Except we have Tre Fant lol Does anyone have a field that can be painted up by the end of the week? I want to see this one bad!!

I think a lot of people are forgetting how hard Fern Creek fought BG. They put it on BG defensively. Would've made it 14-7 at the end of the 3rd if it wasn't for a personal foul penalty on a lineman... Coulda been a whole different game. Not a big fan of christian county this year, feel like FC would beat Cov Cath and Christian. MAYBE Highlands.

As I've said in another thread, It could be possible that the team's switch the schedule in the Rafferty's Bowl. It would be BG vs. John Hardin and SW vs. Monroe. It's a long shot, but if all the coaches could agree on the schedule change and the change of contract, it MAY happen. Maybe we should start pushing for this... Could see the opening game BG vs. SW. Also, if both teams are up to it, they could drop whoever both teams have scheduled to scrimmage and scrimmage each other in preseason!
