Not sure how this one squeaked through the cracks, but thought we should talk about it.

This will be the 4th Meeting between these 2 Warren County rivals. In the earlier 3 games, South Warren won by a total of 116 to 10. SO, it's been lopsided to say the least. This year both teams teams come into the contest at 2 and 0. It feels different this year for me as I feel Greenwood could score more on the Spartans this year, but clearly South Warren is the favorite.

How do you see this game playing out? Close; blowout; upset?

SW by 21-ish. I dont think it will ever be in question after halftime.

Per Spin, apparently South has already put their JV in and Greenwood is scoring on them late...

SW will get Namvong back that will only make their offense that more explosive and D no question not as good as last year but still starting D has only given up 1 TD and you still can't run on it and Greenwood is terrible at passing i think 42-7 maybe 35-14 I don't think GW is any better than last year.purple 88 what do you think?

Are you sipping on the purple koolaid to!

Thanks for starting this one Purple88! I am running a bit behind this week and am just now getting a chance to scan through the threads and see which 5A game discussions need posted.

JD,

No problem at all! Thanks for all you do!

i respect Bowling Green but some of their fans sure get a little drunk on they purple koolaid .especially the ones that are not from BG .

Question for the South Warren fans, do you believe the run defense is equal to or better than last season? Greenwood has a great running game, but their offense is certainly one dimentional, so unless South Warren's defense has regressed, I question if Greenwood can move be the ball well enough to win the game.

Spin, this game intrigues me from the standpoint that I really think Greenwood is building a nice program over there off 231. However their strength (run offense) is going right into the strength of South Warren (stopping the run defense). And ultimately I like South's offense over Greenwood's defense if only because I know more about South's offense.

I do think Greenwood's D has played a better offensive team (Allen County) than South Warren's offense has played either 2016 defensive unit (Monroe or Apollo). Will that mean anything on Friday? Honestly, probably not. Wordiness aside; I look for the first half to be tight and hard fought (something like 14-7 South at halftime), but after halftime, I look for South (Ryder Litten - not many playing better than he is right now) to make the plays to win more comfortably 31-14. But I also wouldn't be surprised if it were a little closer than that because I think Willie Reynolds adds a nice new threat for the Gators. That breakaway capability is big because it means GW doesn't have to drive 80 yards every possession (something they will not be able to do on the South D).

for any one out there how does a kid transfer from one county school to another with no questions asked a kid that admitted on tv the reason he left was to go to a better team(that is a violation according to khsaa guidelines )but Ford does everything he is suppose to do with the blessing of WC principle and he gets slow rolled by the system.they have given the ok then took it back.hard to trust the khssa

I admit the KHSAA is hard to understand at times. Did Willie Reynolds move addresses within Warren County?

So Ford is still fighting the process in Lexington?

it doesnt matter if you change address if you moved bc of athletics you are not elgible and there is prove his own words on sports connection . .on Ford i have NO respect or sympathy for WC they told the 12 to find somewhere else to go and now are fighting tooth and nail to stop them .knowing that these kids are not coming back they have said they will stay till year is up and play in playoffs .
