The Ford kid at SW lives in their district. They ruled him eligible a couple weeks ago, he started practicing and WC appealed it. Now they have to wait at least 15 days for the appeal. The KHSAA is a joke. If the initial ruling is that he can play then he should be able to play without penalty through the appeals process. All WC is doing is hurting these kids future. WC administration is the one who blew up their own program.

 

That is not enough to make it a slam dunk. Moving for purely athletic reasons supersedes the rule. The KHSAA rarely enforces things evenly, so I can't explain their methodology, but read the transfer rule - it's quite clear on moves for athletic purposes.

 

Also, I had heard it was the other way around, that he was ruled ineligible and then he appealed. But that may have been something I read on here. There has been so much misinformation going on around everything that it is truly hard to know what is correct.

 

As for the rest, Warren Central did not make the parents and their kids risk losing their season by transferring. You and I agree on the WC administration and what they have done to the program. I do not blame the parents for seeking better opportunities, but I don't blame Warren Central for fighting for the future of their program. I understand the frustration with a fourth coach in four years, and I am frustrated too. It's an ugly situation that should not have happened. This was all set into motion years ago, we're just finally seeing the whirlwind to be reaped.

Ford was ruled ineligible .He appealed and won khssa reversed their decision.told him ok you are elgible then WC appealed and now he has to wait 15 days from Monday but he can practice .I believe same for potter.but they can rule him either way.I dont care what ruling is but it needs to be fair for all .Several kids with same circumstances and they are playing .
