  1. Hard game to decide the score because you don't know what Saint X team will show up. Taking the safe bet with Trinity by 7!
  2. Confused when there was ever trash talking from either team's players during that game.. But if they did say something to the fans, maybe there should also be a change to fans sitting right up on the endzone line trash talking the players.... Personally, this bothered me the whole game. Not very safe if a player was to run through the back of the endzone and hit bodies, chairs, and umbrellas.
  3. With the fumbling problem BG had before last week; rain could be a problem for us. Therefore I hope it doesn't rain and we continue to see improvements! 27-14 BG.
  4. This was JV, South Warren freshman already beat BG earlier in the year.
  5. The big thing for Warren Central will be keeping fresh legs on the field. I feel Central has the athleticism to compete with BG as long as they have the conditioning. The trenches will also pose a problem for WC.. I hope to see BG to reduce the turnovers this game by keeping the ball off the ground. If Clark Payne and playmakers Wilson, Carothers, and Yates do what they've been doing so far this season, it'll be a running clock. I predict an interception each by Cline and Fant. BG 49-13
  6. I counted 35 players on the sidelines that were dressed against Owensboro
  7. I really wish South and BG played. It'd bring so many people to the game and would be such a dogfight. But nice game for the Spartans! My first South game was very impressive!
  8. IMHO Devin Hayes was more accurate... There's a reason he played and set records at Army with his feet. I don't like comparing players, because no two are the same. But if we could compare Clark to anyone, I'd say Scooter Hollis. Both have acceptional throwing skills but both can make big plays by tucking the ball and run. I wasn't in any way dissing Clark, I just think it's too early to make assumptions.
  9. I'm not sure how I feel about this game. IMO, this game is going to be about as tight as last year. I expect not much getting by the DB's and the linebackers of Bowling Green, along with creating a couple turnovers. On the offensive side, I can see a few mistakes being made up front but hopefully handling their jobs. If the undersized offensive line can handle their own, BG wins. As I've seen in this thread, many people at BG seem to be excited about QB Clark Payne and how great he's going to be. I'll definitely say that he's got potential to be great playmaker for BG; but we can't all jump on the bandwagon of "he's the best QB at BG since Trent Steelman" after only two games against average opponents. Once again, I hope he succeeds as much as any other Purple, but I'm not sold that he's our biggest threat. Now, for St. X to win this game, they must keep the ball out of the air and control the LOS on the offensive side. I said before, the lineman on both sides of the ball are undersized this year so that'll be the breaking point. When it comes to stopping the offense of BG, Xavier must stop Carrothers. Ever since the middle of last season, the run game has been the power of the BG offense. We'll see how the young BG team handles the atmosphere of Brother Thomas More and how they adjust to pressure. BG: 28 St. Xavier: 20
  10. I believe both teams will find it tough to score. therefore, I believe this comes down to turnovers. MC: 14 WC: 7
  11. CC may have a D-1 quarterback, but I just love the DB's for BG this year. With their athleticism, I don't see BG letting up more than 1 passing TD. BG: 34 CC: 21
  12. I was expecting a south warren win but wasn't expecting south to just dominate the LOS. Congrats to south on the statement win!!
  13. I've said that John Hardin could pull off the win against the Spartans, I just believe it'll be in the playoffs. I see JH being down a few touchdowns but finds a way to score too late, SW wins 21-14.
  14. If BG comes and plays like they did against manual, Monroe won't score more than one time. This defense looks solid especially in the secondary. As already pointed out, all Clark Payne has to do is throw a few screens and it's off to the races from there. All respect to Monroe, but I have to go 42-7 Purples because of how well BG played in Louisville.
  15. I understand south have people coming back, so yes, they have the experience. Discipline wise, I'm talking about being able to handle tough situations at critical parts of the game as they've been able to do many times over the last few years. I myself have heard of a few off the field problems for JH in the past, but yet they somehow find a way to get around that on the field... That's just how it's been for a few years. I feel as if SW has a stronger and more experienced team; but their discipline to get it done in tough situations has been hasn't been the best. Last year, JH was down. But from watching their JV and how've they've competed with BG, they have some talent that should show about a game or two in. Honestly I think you're crazy for saying this will be an easy win for the Spartans though, itll be a tough win for whoever wins.
  16. I don't see South beating JH in their first game in moving up. i feel like JH is just to disciplined and fast. But don't let this first game be the judge, both teams will keep tricks up their sleeves to not give away everything for the playoffs. I see them going 9-1, maybe 8-2 just because I've always have had that feeling about warren central playing hometown teams.
  17. Don't know about "video game stats" but he did look impressive after that first series of getting the jitters out. With a struggling couple of positions at o-line Payne had to scramble every once a while and made a couple poor mistakes. While in the pocket, he made some good decisions to put the ball in good playmaker hands in open field. RB Jamale Carothers looked very impressive as he ran the ball well and had great after catch evading. Returning TE Dane Drobocky sat out today undressed; while backup Garrett Strictler took the ropes and snagged a few catches. Defensive wise, the DB core for the purples looks very solid. Tre Boards and Griffin Cline both came away with interceptions. The defensive line could use slight improvements as expected but linebackers Andrew Spader and Jake Bush both came up with smart and impressive plays to take care of the Crimson run game.
  18. Bowling Green 2017 RB Jamale Carothers has interest in many schools. IMO one of the if not the best RB in his class.
  19. Cameron Wallace(TE)- Bowling Green- Eastern Kentucky University
  20. Didn't know it wasn't allowed? I'd just like to hear more on the situation and I f there are any ideas on the next coach.
  21. After one season with the Dragons, Feggins and Warren Central part ways. This departure after a mediocre 6-5 season somewhat puts a stamp on what has been a disaster for the Dragons football program this year. It's time to move on to another coach that they can hopefully keep for a longer period of time. Who will be the new head coach? Will the staff Feggins hired stay? What direction is this program heading? Your thoughts?
