Bowling Green started another winning streak last week, can they keep it going this week versus a strong Christian County team? Both teams are going to be ranked in the BGP Top 10 in Class 5A this week, who will move up, who will move down?

This is the Jayvon Quarles Western Kentucky Power Rankings Game of the Week!

Interesting that Christian County had more rushing yards than passing last week against Caldwell. Will they try to run it on the Purples? We'll see. BG looks to keep a balanced offense rolling. Coach Spader's defense will have their hands full against very good young skill players next Saturday. Go BG!

Christian County wins 35-31

Your'e really struggling with the purples being able to maintain their top notch program I can see. Has anyone ever pointed out that they don't have to falter for south to be fine?

I am actually a fan believe it or not... Lol! But being a fan does not prevent me from giving an honest assessment either. I picked the Purples to win against Monroe last week and this week I think they may struggle against Christian County. Christian County has a High Major D1 QB that stands about 6'6" and has a cannon for an arm. They also have speedy receivers and a good enough offensive line to give their QB time to throw the ball. I think that both teams struggle to stop the others offense (hence the reason for the high score), but Christian County wins out in the end. I don't think my honest assessment has anything to do with SW. Please tell me you are not one of those BG fans who thinks that no one is Ever allowed to think BG could lose?

BG 28-7

I have been fortunate enough to coach against some of Christian county's finest including the QB. I believe Bowling Green gets pressure on him and they have a big win this week.

The 6'6 soph QB at Christian Co is one I will be following this season. This will be a good 5A matchup. BG will likely get the win but I also look for an offensive outpouring.

You are a BG basketball fan but a BG football hater. :lol2: At least own the hate like I do when it comes to Warren Central and South Warren. I predict them to lose all of the time too. It's no secret how you feel about BG football. You predicted 5 losses for them last season, remember? :D

Picking against BG is OK, but if you would, go back and show me the number of times BG has given up 35 points in the last 10 years....and yet you think an semi-above average Christian Co. team that couldn't hang 35 on Caldwell is going to do that to BG? :idunno:

I see these 2 teams playing each other again in the playoffs. I'm going to go with Bowling Green 28-14 in this one but you give Coach Loveless and those young skill kids more time to develop and a second crack at BG and the score could very well be flipped.

Boys, Im going out on a limb and calling a running clock for the Purples. I know most wont agree (and it may not happen) but thats my story and Im sticking to it. Purples show out in a big way Saturday night and uses this game as their statement game to St X and the rest of the state

As an OHS fan, I'll be keeping a close eye on this one. I do think Christian County will be much improved and they do have some dynamic skill guys. I'm just not quite sold that CC will make the jump that everyone is anticipating. I look for a deeper, more experienced BG team to win this one comfortably. I look for BG to pressure the QB and force him into some bad situations. If CC can't stop the run, it'll be a long night.

Christian County may be improved, but so are the Purples. Some folks still don't think the Purples are an elite program. They've had one bad game in four years. They might as well jump on the bandwagon because it's not gonna change. Purples 35-14.
