Quick question I'm trying to figure out... Has there ever been 2 teams from the same county (outside of Louisville and Lex) to win a championship in the same year? And if so, when?

Forgot to mention one thing in response. Yes, I've seen south play Gwood, Central Hardin, and John Hardin in person. That's why I'm one of the couple BG fans that think that South is deserving of a top 10 or 15 spot. Now because of who've they've played, who really knows what their rank should really be inside of the top 10 or 15? All depends on how'd they would do against a powerhouse opponent. Good luck Spartans, please bring home some hardware so we can hopefully have 2 in Warren County!! Quick question I'm trying to figure out... Oh and I'm not going into the arguement of BG vs SW again. That's a drum that's been beat too many times that you're trying to bring up with facts and opinions from both sides I've already heard before.

I didn't mean to type BG twice... Sorry about that. But you took my post completely out of context. I was not saying every single one of those teams will beat south warren. I just said I want to see South play one of those teams THIS YEAR. Etown is undefeated, that's why I put them on there. They are a different team, it's 2015 not 2014. Simply making the remark anyone can beat anyone is absolutely true in any sport! No one in the state other than Graves Co fans would've thought they would've beat Bowling Green last year the way they did. What I'm trying to say is, anything can happen in sports. You brought up UK basketball like that is relevant, but did they not lose to Wisconsin? I can see your point on how you think SW is great, because I agree totally. You just need to understand that not every post about SW from a BG fan is dogging south warren. I know they are a top 10 team, if they were to play a top ten team, I would be able to figure out where they should be ranked. That's all I want, is a real measuring stick to see how good SW is. Plus, all SW fans would want that too. It would get rid of many of the haters around the state to show that SW could beat those top powerhouses.

Male, Saint X, Trinity, Scott Co, SK, Pulaski, BG, Manual, Etown, BG, Bryan Station, Lafayette.... In words of Stanford's coach "This isn't an upset, anyone in the top 25 can beat someone in the top 25. No team is unbeatable."

I'd like to South to play a team like Cooper, SK, Scott Co, or BG just to get an understanding of how they would match up to top teams in the state. Yes, I understand the South is a good football team, I've watched them play. I'd just like to see where they stack up. It's just hard to tell with the teams in 4A this year and how they scheduled Greenwood, Central Hardin, and PJP. I know Central Hardin is a decent football team, but BG would've beat them by 50 if it wasn't a flood that night. I'm not discrediting South, so fans don't get upset. It's just hard to determine how good they are compared to the other powerhouses until they play one. I really hope they schedule one next year! It doesn't have to be BG, I just want a comparison game.

Excluding the one bad half for Bowling Green in week 3, BG's defense has allowed roughly around 10 points to each opponent. That being said, if BG can avoid a bad half of football on defense I feel like the Purples can take this win. Credit to Pulaski, as they will challenge the Bowling Green defense as Riley Hall will be a dual threat that Bowling Green hasn't seen since the Saint X game. X and Pulaski are two totally opposite teams but very similar at that. This game will be a classic and IMO the best game to watch of all at WKU this week (including the championship game between USM and WKU) If you have the availability to come to this game or watch it online, do so!! I think everyone in the BG area is well aware of how good South Warren is, no need to let us know that there's a new kid in town. I also believe that most people around the state do as well, that's why you are ranked top 10 in the state and the top of your class. I do agree that there can be two great teams in Warren County, I believe in my own personal opinion that they (SW) are just taking the place of the old Warren Central for now. They will be the best team in the WCPS for about 5-8 years until kids start wanting to go with the nicer facilities. That's my guess but who really knows? But as for what fanofyours stated about the smack talk, let your team do the talking. Yes you deserve respect, but you've also have to earn it by beating your haters that doubt your team. I never hear about South Warren players going around talking about how good they are. In my talks with about 5 or 6 of your players, they are very humble about the success they are having. That's the way it should be for fans as well. Stay humble and don't be greedy or else you'll really her about it when you finally fall.

If you're so offended by the schedule, there's an option to watch it online. And actually for a lesser price. Quit your crying and deal with the cards you're dealt.

I think the only thing positive here would be that I think JC doesn't get shut out. I'll be a supporter of Spartan Nation this week! Keep 2 trophies in Warren County!! Good luck!!

BG 14-0 off a long pass to Yates

Before any other BG fan replies to this, please remember it's impossible to change his opinion about this. Just like it's impossible to change one of our minds. Believe what you want to believe, just know that we've had too many discussions about this same topic. We can wait until they schedule each other to determine who's the better two.

So if a kid has signed with a school after his senior season, then the coach gets fired, what happens? Are the new coaches allowed to pull that scholarship or is the kid allowed to leave that school without penalty? I've seen this happen a few times over the years and haven't really had an answer.

Bowling Green likes to have practice on Wednesday morning and then again Thursday night for families to have time to travel. I've always loved having the night practice! Many alumni show up to watch, some give speeches to the kids. It's great! Then after there's hot chocolate, cookies, etc. for the players, coaches, and parents. It's a wonderful time of the year ladies and gentleman!!

It's no worse than Bowling Green or Greenwood... I personally don't like it, but I highly doubt that the players let that become part of the game. I just hate that the announcers try to effect the game in some kind of way by yelling into the mic. But, I remember when I played, I was zoned into the game and don't even remember the crowds until I stepped on the sidelines. As Spin said, these men give much time and effort most of the time without pay. So much respect to them, just be happy someone is doing it and that you're not sitting there in silence. There's also a reason they call it home field advantage..

Eventhough it could happen, I don't see him causing Bowling Green a problem. The secondary is the staple of this Bowling Green team, IMO. They've combined for 23 interceptions on the season (Boards with 8) and combined have around 500 yards and 6 touchdowns off of those picks (Maxpreps). This might be the best coverage I've seen at Bowling Green in a while. And best individual play by Tre Fant since his coach, Demont Franklin.

Anytime turf is brought up at BG it's not really a big deal. The grass at Bowling Green is excellent. I don't really see the need for turf, especially when ohr field has very few brown spots going into state semis. A new stadium, that's a different deal. I feel we need that more than anything at this point. Starting to get pretty old and I hear the press box is getting run down a bit. Scoreboard or stadium, I'd be happy with either!

South needs turf. Even though the school is basically brand new, they did a poor job of installing that football field. I've only been on the field once or twice this year, but both times there's holes on the sideline and the field was really muddy for no reason in certain areas. Don't know if it's always like this or not. Greenwood doesn't need it imo, their grass is very nice.

At least they tried to make it happen! It's a shame they didn't want to! Did they give any reason why they declined?

Honestly think Bowling Green or South warren should do the same thing. It be great for all the fans in Bowling Green. WKU game vs. Marshall, BG vs. Fern Creek, SW vs. Shelby. Dreaming, but it would be awesome.

I think I read a tweet by someone associated with Fern Creek that they would run a fan bus down for the game. Don't know for sure!
