Now that PC is playing in the final game, this is the sequence I wanted, Highlands in the semis and BG in the finals. If we are going to win it this year, I wanted to play those two teams. Hoping for a win next Sat night.

Maybe instead of scared he meant healthy respect? Atleast thats what I hope. Pulaski is very formidable but I am not scared of losing to them.

First, I congratulate Pulaski. I had predicted at beginning of year that they would get beat in semi-final game against Highlands.

 

Personally, I think this 5A matchup will be best game of the 6 games played.

 

As of now (one week before kickoff) the weather forecast looks really good, with possibly no rain!

 

What makes this game good is both teams will stick to their gameplan. Pulaski will sling it all over field and BG will spread it out evenly.

 

I think everyone agrees as far as speed is concerned, BG gets the nod. My opinion is that it will be that team speed that will make the difference. Yes, BG has the jets on offense (Caruthers #23, Wilson #2, Yates #5). Don't sleep on BG QB, Clark Payne. In his first year starting at the helm, Clark has been phenominal. His mental toughness and his gridiron knowledge makes him a great weapon. He will not make many mistakes.

 

The speed that makes BG special is on defensive side of ball. I would suspect that Tre Fant for BG will be the best player that Riley Hall will see all year (if Scott County is best team Pulaski has seen, it's my opinion that Tre is better than any defensive player on Scott County). Tre is special. I know Hall will be best QB Purples has seen but I can assure you that Tre will be ready for the challenge. Overall team speed on defensive side of ball for BG is very good.

 

I think BG scores quick and often. BG will need to worry about Ripley Halls feet as much as his arm. If BG figures that out, BG should be fine.

I've thought all year BG was a bit better than PC. Still think so but it's so close. Will definitely try to catch this web broadcast.

This will be a battle for sure. BG defense had played its best games the last two weeks.......hopefully that trend will continue. They are going to have to stepped it up even another notch....this is the state title game.

 

Offense for BG hasn't looked great the last two weeks, looked better last night against Fern Creek, who had a pretty solid defense.

 

We'll see what happens, should be a good one.

Too be fair BG just had a bad game there. And the defense is miles ahead of where it was during the St. X game, especially the last two weeks.

 

BG's offense will have to score some points and put together some drives.
