We tried to tell them about Pulaski County. Even told them they won't quit even when you think you have them beat. Even told them in the update thread that they will still beat Highlands. We tried to tell em.......

My thoughts on the game, there are 13 young men who win or lose are playing their last game together Saturday night. I know for us it is a blessing that our son is one of those 13 and I am going to miss every kid on the team and HS football as a parent going forward.

 

They have played in this game and lost and they have played in this game and won. This is not the 2013 game with sophomores making their first trip to that stage facing a group of seniors who were experienced champs. I expect them to leave it all on the field and agree with what I have read here and elsewhere that this team is on a mission to prove something.

 

As far as the actual outcome of the game, I can't think of an outcome that would surprise me. If Pulaski turns the ball over and has a couple of injuries, could be lopsided in BG's favor. If they play the whole game like they played the second half of the Highlands game, could be lopsided in Pulaski's favor. If you made me bet, probably a tight game in the 30's-40's.

I have to say, I think in high school football schedules are a bit irrelevant. Teams do not get to pick their districts or regions. The talk that PC played this weak schedule may be true but they had to play a few of those teams. As BG and other winning programs can attest, it is not easy to make schedules when you are winning. There are certain teams PC has to play for geographic reasons (for $$$). My opinion, it isn't who you play but how you handle your competition.

Did someone say something about Pulaski schedule? They played the strongest schedule in their school history this year.

For my 2 cents worth, I see it this way, BG is defiantly fast but Pulaski plays fast if that makes since. Both teams are very sound and both have play makers, I think special teams will come into play and I have no idea who has the better of them. should be the best match up of the finals in my opinion.

Some Highlands fans are the ones who have questioned Pulaski County's schedule. They've questioned BG's schedule also. Much ado about nothing.
