  1. It's not hard for them when they are wide open every pass play...
  2. JC fans starting to get a bit rowdy.. That won't last long
  3. Both South and BG played in the Rafferty's Bowl this year. With that being said, could they play the first game next year against each other. Or is that schedule already made..?
  4. Funniest thing from an official this week hahaha Go Warren Central! I mean South Warren!
  5. I think losing to St. X early was a good thing for this team. Gave them a reality check, while also understanding that the Graves Co game was not a fluke. They understood they need to put in more work and start playing as a team. And boy, did they do that?! This group of seniors really took charge and were great leaders! I can only hope that the classes below them have seen the leadership this year and coninue it for years to come! Thanks for the ride this year, kids!! Thank you class of 2016
  6. I said all year long that this was the best secondary in the state. No doubt in my mind. One big surprise to me was Justin Robinson. Every time BG would try to match up Fant and Johnson, but the motion prevented that many times. And because of this, Justin Robinson was able to deflect the ball many times. I couldn't be more proud for this group. After last year, there were many people who doubted another Purples run, and I'm here to tell you that it's not over. And Clark Payne played great IMO. He was the better of the two QB's tonight. He was able to keep his eyes downfield, wait for an open receiver, and if he didn't have a target that could be hit, he scrambled to pick up yardage. Great performance with few to no mistakes for this young man!! Can't wait to see what next year brings! Go Purps!!RIP Mike, thanks for watching over us!!
  7. I feel like he could play somewhere if he'd put some weight on
  8. Tomorrow is the big day!! Time to crown a champion. Who's gonna be in attendance?
  9. 10 - Bowling Green 6 - Lex Cath 2 - Pikeville 2 - South Warren 2 - Male 2 - Mayfield TB: 76
  10. Here's a few of my favorites: Double Dogs (Beer, Wings, and burgers) Rafferty's (Casual, try a brookie) Mariah's (Causal, 2nd to Rafferty's IMO) Mister B's (Beer, Pizza, and Wings) Shogun Bistro (High end Japanese) Montana Grille (High end, GREAT Ribs) Hiiligans (Bar) Puerto Vallerta (Mexican, Scottsville Rd location is better) El Mazatlan (Mexican, Nashville Rd location is better) Corner Bakery (Panera Bread on steroids) Roosters (Wings are HUGE) Toots (Wings) 440 Main (High end restaurant, downtown) Buckhead Cafe (Quick dining cafe) Cheddar's (Casual) Mancino's (Pizza, Sandwhiches, Pasta) Lost River Pizza Co. (Best pizza in town IMO) Griffs (Great, local, fast deli, I suggest chipotle chicken sandwich) 643 (Has the only "Beer Wall" in Kentucky)
  11. Give your predictions on who wins the championship in each class, 1A-6A. No scores are needed, just a winner for each class.
  12. Because moving a 5 or 6A game effects more parents staff and students, therefore it would effect the amount of people that come to the larger games. Less people=Less money. Problem solved.
  13. Tweet from Bowling Green Head Coach, Kevin Wallace asking all fans to come support each other: @kwallacebg: The best football weekend ever in BG. This town needs to get out and support @WKUFootball @SWHSsports and Purples Football. No excuses! Pretty cool to see coaches supporting other local teams publically
  14. The red pins are not as far away from the stadium as you think.
  15. The red pins are all places I have parked for free that you will not be towed (Large parking lot in between Baseball and Softball fields, McNeill Elm side parking lot, streets behind elementary school). Footballs are the 2 parking structures that you will have to pay for. And the beer is the tailgating area, of course!!
  16. Only during the week of the state championships... It's hard to draw a good crowd any other time of the year!
  17. Ughhh my head hurts from reading this post :ohbrother::ohbrother:
  18. I can understand this analogy, but basketball is a whole different story. You wouldn't be able to hold a basketball state finals game in Kentucky at WKU or one of the OVC schools. Just not enough room. I've kinda wondered why they haven't moved that to Louisville, considering it's a brand new facility. But as you said, the sponsor with Whitaker Bank and the fact it's the #1 school in the nation as of now (Go Cards) is probably why it's still there.
  19. If you are in town for the whole weekend here's a list of great places IMO that you can find a bite to eat Double Dogs (Favorite) Mister B's Rafferty's Mariah's Buffalo Wild Wings Cheddar's Shogun Bistro Puerto Vallarta El Mazatlan Hilligan's 643 Sports Bar Olive Garden Chuy's
  20. Does this have something to do with people actually having to spend money to go watch a sporting event? A bunch of misers. Sorry people from the southern part of the state don't want to travel to Lexington for Basketball, Soccer, Tennis, Track and Field, Baseball, Softball, and Football. People are so quick to cry over spending a buck. Sorry you have to take one drive out of the year to watch the best of the best in one sport. One sport outside of a metro and it becomes terrible.. Whether you wanna admit it or not, WKU has the best stadium for a high school championship. Turf, nice club area (high school state championship size, not national championship size), More than enough seating but not too much. Yes parking may be a little tough but is that what's not gonna make you come watch? You have all state championships in the northern part of the state. What's wrong with having ONE down here? Give us a break from traveling for once.
  21. You're absolutely correct, our crowds have only showed up in decent numbers when we've played St. X and McCallie onber the last 2 years. Maybe you could count the away game at Owensboro this year. I don't know what it is, but it's been hard to keep a stadium full the last few years (the most successful years of the programs)
  22. If our schedule isn't strong enough, we'll just have to add Blackmon back on there!!
  23. Say South Warren wins state this year. Here's my question, if South schedules a great team other than BG, let's say a team like Bryan Station or Lafayette. Teams that people around here aren't really familiar with, but are great teams. Would South fans and students show up to that game next year. The reason I exclude BG is because everyone would show up for that first meeting.
