It looks and sounds like BG has taken their program to another level this year so I think they will win comfortably.

Is Ridder back for this game?

Not from what I've been told. And that's a true shame, but that's a St X thing.

With the scheme of X's defense, they will have trouble putting enough stops together to contain BG's offense. X will be able to move the ball with their running but will not be able to keep up with the Purples.

Purples take another one in this series.

X - 13

BG - 38

Hope the game is closer, as this has been a fun series to watch and be a part of.

Love this series as it has been good for both I think.

It will be important for St X to get out of the gate early at BG. You can't expect to get down 14-0 early and rely on a run game to get back in it and win with the way BG's O is playing right now.

@Purple88 who is the one guy that the Tigers have to keerp in check in order to slow down BG's offense?

Bowling Greens offense will be hard for any Kentucky school, not named Trinity, to handle. Last year St. X got ahead early, by running it down the Purples throat. If they are unable to get an early lead, then it could be a long night for the Tigers. The Purples are going to score some points. Can St. X keep up? I don't think so.

Bowling Green by 21. No running clock, but no less dominant.

Like last year, X has to be very productive on special teams. Have to come up with extra possessions and be able to convert TDs inside the 10 yard line, which has been an issue the last few years.

Excellent Question LTR!

In my opinion, the 1 guy you have to try to limit is RB Jamale Carothers as he is IMO BGs best player. In the Christian County game he had two touchdowns receiving (five receptions for 118 yards) and one touchdown rushing (14 carries for 112 yards) against Christian County. So he touched the ball about 20 times in the first 3 quarters (didn't play in the 4th). That focus would be very effective with a team as tough defensively as St X is. The problem is when you do that you leave others 1 on 1. Again the problem is those others are WR Deangelo Wilson, RB/WR Ziyon Kinner, and TE Garret Strickler. With Clark Payne being as efficient as he has been in the first 2 games (in Christian County game he was 20 for 27), you will have to put some pressure on him. 20 for 27 says he is not in a big hurry to get rid of the ball.

I may be speaking with my Purple colored glasses off here, but I think X has a chance if they do not fall behind early and allow their strong run attack to chew clock and for their D to mix it up. If you play the same D every play against BG, Goodnight Irene! Throw in some blitzes, then fake them, then play zone, then do something else. You must cause confusion for the BG OLine and pressure Payne.

Can you do it - yes. Is it likely; not as much as last year. BUT, I expect X to come in very confident and to play a hard hitting physical game and BG will have to be ready. Turnovers are the great field leveler and anything can happen. Looking forward to it!

Good call here LTR!

IMO it was the 2 special team TDs that put last years game out of reach for BG to come back. You won't find much better than Roshkowski (spelling?) as a returner. BG must do better this year.

you must take the short passing game away .It is easy to have good % throwing bubble sreens and middle screen and short hitched and outs .BY tried to get Juice and Baby D in space with short game ,Easier said and done .

Almost hate that I will be camping with no signal this weekend, will have to catch up on Monday.
