Draw is after school.

The consensus around NKY is that Holmes has won two state championships, but only arrived home with the big trophy once. I'm sure it still stings a lot of people, but 2009 took away a lot of the pain.

All activities for Kenton County Schools are cancelled today. This should answer the question to "will so and so play tonight."

Never understood how that makes things easier. If you play one game then you have the tiebreaker. No way these teams would agree to a home/home every year. For one, the big three playing SG and Calvary twice doesn't make sense. Brossart doesn't have the facility to host a game with Campbell, really isn't big enough for a game with Scott either. Lastly all three teams play in the NKAC where they are locked into a certain amount of games against mainly ninth region teams.

2007-2009 I thought NCC was good enough to win your normal ninth region. Holmes had a lot of talent in those years though. 07 lost to Holmes in the region in a very good game. Had the big kid who went to Louisville. 08 Was the only team to beat Holmes in the ninth all year long, but drew Highlands the first night of the district and lost. 09 Lost to Holmes in the regional semis by about six or seven. Those were three really good teams that had a tough draw every year come tourney time and had Holmes on a very good three year run.

Snappy Tomato is great for party situations if you want to order the beast. Anyone who is home with the significant other or alone and orders that for a night in needs their head checked. In the 37th district area (NKY) there are at least five pizza places that are better: Pasquales, Larosa's, and Toppers (by NKU) for actual pizza places, and Longnecks and Dickman's if out having a few.

Why do they play so early?

Those in attendance, myself included, will be talking about this one for a long, long time. Johnson Central finally got a win in NKY, hats off to them. Scott has nothing to be ashamed of. Great game.

One other thing, Scott dominated special teams play. Ashland doesn't have a kicking game, at all. Seay did have a XP blocked from Scott though. However, he pinned Ashland deep on three kickoffs where Scott's faster athletes were able to pin the ball inside the 15. On the one Ashland broke Seay ran him down. Thurza also had a punt Scott pinned inside the 5 with about ten minutes left. There was no chance Ashland was going to go 80-90 yards on drives against the Scott defense. Their scoring was basically one big play, one 40 yard drive, and a Scott turnover. I know Scott is missing Pleasant, but having everyone else back and healthy ( had few kids not play last week after physical loss to SK) is really going to make them a tough out, especially at home.

Not taking anything away from Baker or Ashland but Scott played without their best player as well, Pleasant was out tonight. Unfortunately injuries are a part of sports. Of the two teams that took the field tonight, Scott was the better one. They deserved to win the game.

I agree on this. I think Scott is a lot closer to beating Ashland and Central than they are losing to Rowan County. Not sure if many people agree. I honestly didn't pay any attention to the rankings.

I really wonder if people outside of NKY realize how good Scott is. Have a lot of athletes and a good front 7 on defense. No shame in the loss they took last week. I really think they'll get to the regional championship game.

Long drive for a "tuneup".

Just shorten the playoffs by one week. Problem solved. I realize that creates conflict with one or two districts in Louisville, but oh well, can't please everyone.

Better shooter than Ohmer?

Anyone any good in the ninth besides NCC, everyone any good in the tenth (besides Paris), Scott County ( most likely twice) , Simon Kenton, Lawrence County, Woodford County and Louisville Eastern tournaments at Christmas time. Also was told Silver Grove and Calvary are not playing district teams this year in the regular season, besides each other. There isn't a duck on the Eagles schedule.
