In Memory of Andrew Carson Meyers Not sure if many people remember Drew Meyers, he was an offensive and defensive lineman for Holy Cross and graduated in 2003. Upon graduating he enlisted in the Marines where he served four years and later returned to service as a civilian contractor in war zones. He also was a student at Thomas More College where he started and urged other former military members to join what he called "Service men to Saints". They dressed in fatigues for home games and assisted many charities, but before every home game they would collect toys for tots. As a player Drew was one of the players that helped get Holy Cross football program off the ground, and if anyone remembers the Stone-Armstrong years where they were both running the ball well Drew was the anchor of that offensive line. Had a chance to play at Thomas More but after just one year decided to serve our country. I played against this man for 4 years in high school and he was truly a great player, but getting to know him off the field he was a even greater man. Drew passed away at his house this weekend of a heart attack, at age 28. His dedication to HC, TMC , and the USMC deserves to be recognized, and that is why I have taken the liberty of starting this thread. Semper Fi Drew

Ohmer from Scott gave up 2 hits and went the distance. Two great outings for him this postseason. Wasn't going to matter who took the hill for the Indians. Good luck to Scott tomorrow.

There is a whole lot more great coaches than there is great jobs, especially in nky basketball.

Observations on this hire... if it is true. 1. Goetz must really want to pursue the public school route 2. Was Ross Hart even contacted? Worked under two state champ coaches, won JV region this year, graduate of the school, probably top 10 players to ever come from there. 3. How many of the young assistants in NKY went after this one?

Watched Scott a few times last year. If Crim avearaged 10 rebounds a game last year he must have had about 100 against Silver Grove and Calvary combined. However, played very well in the postseason for them. Besides Jackson may have been there best player in the post season. Agree on Castleman playing hard and being a good defender, but he isn't a top 5 player in the 37th district much less the 10th region.

Crim from Scott deserves to be mentioned on this list somewhere. Once he got into basketball shape around January he was a big factor for them in down the stretch and the postseason run they had.

Not going to dispute why or why not a kid transfers just never ceases to amaze me how the school kids transfer to always seem to be really good already.
