Ashland/Scott in the second round could be interesting.

The way people talk on here I am surprised they are even having the playoffs. You would think they would just give the trophy to South Warren.

LOL

On a serious note there are 3 teams that I think are the heads of the pack (Ashland, Johnson Central, and South Warren).

There are several other teams that that could play spoilers (Scott, Wayne, Mercer) if one of the first three mentioned do not play their A game.

I expect a fun playoff and hope either Johnson Central or Ashland come out of the East and take care of business in Bowling Green.

IMO....Ashland/Scott is just a tuneup for Ashland. Can't see Scott being physical enough to handle the Tomcats

i think mercer could hurt some feelings..

How far you think they could go?

Been hearing that for years. They need to do and then talk.

It's not out of the question for them to be in the semi-final game. If it comes down to them vs Wayne Co. to come out of the region, they had a very good game with Wayne Co. this season. Score was 21-14 Wayne Co.

Long drive for a "tuneup".

We don't make the rules!

Seriously though, I don't know much about Scott, as far as their style goes. But I would be surprised if its a tune-up game.

According to the Ashland program we have never played Bourbon County our 1st round game. Can anyone tell me about them. Record? Style of play? Etc.

I don't know anything about them either, but I believe they played within a TD of Scott.

I don't know a lot about this year's team, but they returned some good players from last year's team that lost to Russell in the regional final. Their QB is Clay Bolin, younger brother of former LexCath and current Louisville QB Kyle Bolin. They also have a 1,000yd rusher in Marquaze Hill and a couple of good WRs. One of them is Billy Orcutt, whom if I recall from last year's game at Russell, is a big target(6'4" or 6'5"). Bolin has a strong arm and they like to air it out. He's attempted 278 passes so far in nine games.

Defensively, I have no idea what to tell you other than they've given up at least 35pts six times this year, including 56 to Paintsville. Bolin might complete a long one or two, but Ashland should roll.

Thx. Baker and company should be resting by the 4th hopefully. They moved up Mason moved up and Scott dropped. Mason County being that bad really shocks me.

Ok hoss, just for you.

You guys really think the east part of the state is that good???! I think you might want to look at the west side as being loaded with IMO 6 teams that could win the east side of the bracket. Look who has played who and who those teams play. District 4 is loaded. Region 2 is loaded. The survivor will be on a role and just might have something for south warren.

Not a John Hardin fan but look at who they played. 4 6A schools a 5A and power house 4A however, a weak district. Collins has played 2 6A 3 5A and Boyle Co. Plus strongest district in 4A. That gets you ready for playoff runs. Might not win them all but playing bigger schools makes a huge difference. Whoever gets on a run wins the thing. Remember the playoffs are a 5 game season.
