Belfry 8-1 traditional good opponent and top 3A team. good team to have on schedule but who is their best win? I like teams who play good teams when they don't have to. Some teams you have on your schedule might have a down year but usually there down years are also played vs. quality opponents. Ask Warren East about their 2012 playoff run. 13-0 and then plays quality opponent and bam...end of year.

 

Then name 1 world beater that anyone out West has beaten with a better quality win than Boyle Co on their schedule.

Who do you propose is going to beat them in the Semis?

I am just saying that I would rather face 6A Louisville Eastern over 2A Leslie County. Eastern will make me a better team.

 

 

You are comparing a middle of the road 6A to middle of road 2A. That is not the comparison. It is Lex. Cath (a top tier 3A) to middle of the road at best 6A schools with losing records.

Same could be said about South Warren the past couple years

LOL South Warren beat central Hardin by 21 who lost to Boyle by 2. Lex Catholic beat Boyle by 7. JC beat LC by 14. All that spinning just gave me a headache.

A few things I can tell you about Bourbon County, they have the potential and the athletes to sneak up on someone and they have a really good coaching staff. If I'm Ashland, I wouldn't look past them by no means or they could very well be the team exciting the post season early!

Ashland is very good but don't think they will be looking past anyone.

So he feels a victory over a team that lost to Boyle (Central Hardin) is as strong as a victory over a team who beat Boyle (Lex. Cath)?

 

That is a stretch of epic proportions.

 

Point is he is hanging his hat on beating below average 6A schools yet neither South Warren or John Hardin has a win as strong as the victory JC has on Lex. Cath.

 

Now I would not be surprised if either of those teams were to beat JC or Ashland in the state championship if they played, but his arrogance about the schedules is absurd in my view.

Also consider Boyle Co. played CH the first game of the season at a neutral sight while SW played CH in week 4 at home. Most teams can show lots of improvement in 4 weeks.

 

And that North Hardin win doesn't equivalate to much considering that big ole 6A school got blasted by one of those poor ole 2A schools Desales at home. Playing bigger schools over smaller schools is the stupidest argument I've ever heard. Quality programs come in all classes and sizes. Using your rationale you'd be better off to play Seneca than Mayfield?

Actually, Johnson Central's win over LexCath is NOT worlds and worlds better than beating Central Hardin. LexCath less than a FG favorite on a neutral field according to the computer.

Wayne County handled Knox Central who beat Louisville central who beat St. X who beat Bowling Green and competed with the likes of Trinity. Sometimes i wonder how much validity you can put in strength of schedule. Its almost playoff time everyone is 0-0.

And last year in college basketball EKU beat the Miami Hurricanes @ Miami, and Miami beats Duke the next week, and all Duke did was win the whole thing. None of it matters come post season time. Get it done or go home, no excuses.
