  1. If you're a DirecTV customer with wireless boxes, this isn't an issue. Same thing happened when UK/UofL played same time as OSU/Michigan. I set up two TVs one over the other. Fantastic four hours of football!!
  2. Spot on analysis. UofL will try to punch UK in the mouth (metaphorically speaking) with their defense. How the Cats respond will be telling. Cal's constant drumbeat of "playing tough" and "how we respond" will be put to the test. He's probably relishing the matchup based simply on that angle.
  3. When John Wall was at UK, he was not a very good outside shooter. Tremendous at everything else, but zero range. All other comparisons with Monk are accurate.
  4. As Warner Wolf would say, "if you had the Winthrop Lady Eagles and 107 points ... YOU LOSE!!"
  5. Colonels were way too loose with the ball. And it doesn't matter if Aiden was in the lineup or not. #13 was not a liability. The TOs were coming from elsewhere CC was trying too hard to pound the ball to 44. A nice player, but 1 and 3 are the straws that stir the drink. Lift the ball young fellows! If CC gets the effort from the rest that they got from AJ, they'll be ok. He found EVERY rebound. Hats off #21! Bottom line.....Moe was too quick in the passing lanes, and forced way too many errors. On this night, they were the better team.
  6. Or I guess I should have said, if murdering a child is wrong in the last two trimesters, how is it ok in the first?
  7. I should have never opened this thread, and now regret doing so. But I can't bite my tongue....if you murder a child in the last two trimesters, how can you justify murdering a child in the first trimester? No need to actually reply, because I won't be back to read it.
  8. I like Holland as well. I'd like to say he had a good game against UNCCentral (20 points), but the guy he was guarding (#11 Cole) went off for 32/10/8. :(
  9. Which guard? Holland? Brannen runs in a lot of players. I like Spellman. Handles the ball well; good shooter; sees the floor; not a defensive liability. I think he has the potential to be really good.
  10. On November 12th, their only opportunity to prove so, they were.
  11. I'm going to irk a lot of people, but everyone is placing too much emphasis on the "eye test". The game is played on the field!! It doesn't really matter if PSU only made "one play"....they did enough to win the game. One could make the argument Michigan outplayed OSU (passed the "eye test") on Saturday, but OSU won the game. I believe Penn St, if they win on Saturday, should be in.
  12. Any talk of conspiracy ends with this book. Fantastic read, and puts any conspiracy theory to bed. Bugliosi debunks every last one, including multiple shooters. If you're still doubtful, get the book, and read it. Every page. It's a challenge; a hefty tome. But if you do, you'll never discuss conspiracy again.
  13. BOOM!!!!! 14-7 Kentucky We need someone (anyone!) in Papa John Stadium to PULL THE FIRE ALARM!!!!!
  14. This seems to be the game Ken is playing. He is quietly playing the game, observing from afar, and not **irking** anyone off. Solid.
  15. For starters, you don't have to play Alabama every year.
  16. The Norse held a 43-32 rebound advantage despite Northern Kentucky's tallest players being 6-foot-7. Northern Kentucky was sloppy with the ball for most of the game, committing 18 turnovers that led to 21 Illinois points. ''Our youth showed when things went bad and I thought their veteran leadership showed with their run,'' Northern Kentucky coach John Brannen said.
  17. Sounds like they competed well, and certainly had a chance to win the game. Northern Kentucky University Athletics - Norse take fight to Illini, but fall 79-64
  18. Props to the CovCath team and coaches. Everyone knew they were good last year. Loaded, and experienced, at every position. Other than the fact that CC had never been that far in the tournament, no one was really surprised when it was over. 18 players gone from last year. This year, a whole new group of players, a new back line. A challenging schedule. 3 clean sheets on the way to the finals. Shutout a juggernaut in LCA. Despite the fact they came up a bit short, this is probably a more impressive feat. Well done.
  19. I have no dog in the fight....zero, none, zilch, nada.....there is absolutely no way that guy was in an offsides position. Officials are human. The AR made a mistake. It's a moot point tho. Let it rest.
  20. Totally disagree. Sure, it can be heartbreaking for the vanquished, but everyone knows those are the rules. I've said it many times...it's not our game. Until the rest of the world (i.e. FIFA) decides to change the rules, we (i.e. Americans) need to learn that PKs are a part of the game. Many teams don't even practice PKs. Sounds like Davies did. Congrats to both teams.
