Highlands hoopsters to NCC
Academic reasons? I thought HHS was supposed to be a good school. Maybe the Emperor isn't wearing any clothes after all.

Top 1A Girls to Watch at the 2017 State Track Meet
A deathknell for the Lady Cru. Kim was ranked 1st, 1st and 2nd in three different events .... a potential 29 points. Best of luck for a speedy recovery, and a healthy/successful college career.

New Oldham County Football Helmets
I guess this would have more meaning if I knew who Coach Fox was and what school this represents. :(

2018 Guard Trevon Faulkner (Mercer County)
I apologize if this is public knowledge and I'm just out of the loop .... is there any relation to Mason Faulkner at NKU?

Julian Tackett discusses future of Sweet 16s
I see your point, but there is no reason to have a 20+ minute warmup for a high school basketball game. They're 16-18 year old kids. If they can't get loose in 8 minutes, there's something wrong. Watch any layup line pregame, and you can tell those kids are lathered up after about 3 minutes.

2018 10th Region All 'A' Classic Tournament
I could be wrong, but I believe the thread only pertains to the 'A' teams in the 10th, not all of them.

Which players have benefited the most from their Sweet 16 appearances?
History has proven you correct. Chris was a fantastic player, and by all accounts, a better human being. You have much to be proud of!

Jake Ohmer commits to WKU
Who says John Brannen isn't trying to bring "high level ball" to NKU? Maybe that's why he never offered.

2018 10th Region All 'A' Classic Tournament
Girls and boys basketball draw has been the same the last 2-3 years, held the same week, and at the same location.

Jake Ohmer commits to WKU
As a season ticket holder at NKU, I don't give a flip where the players went to high school. Get the best kids you can find. So far, the new staff has acquitted themselves quite nicely.

Which players have benefited the most from their Sweet 16 appearances?
Everything is clearer when looked at through the rear view mirror. However, at the time, Tubby had the number 1 team in the country, as well as the following season. I'm sure he could be selective, and decided to offer elsewhere.

Julian Tackett discusses future of Sweet 16s
Argh. District tournaments started the week of February 20 this year, ending many teams' seasons. Even if they start the season a week earlier, I hate the thought of high school basketball for some being done before Valentine's Day. I thought February 20 was too soon.

Which players have benefited the most from their Sweet 16 appearances?
I was at The Sports Arena in Newport for a Joe B Hall autograph session, when Dicky walked in and shook Hall's hand. Neither seemed surprised to see the other, so I'm sure it was more than happenstance. Perhaps @TAC can recall details.

Jake Ohmer commits to WKU
Congratulations!

The Jake
I would assume Brannen has the Spellman scholarship available. I haven't heard if he intends to use it this year or not. Perhaps there are some unsigned kids (juco?) who now have NKU on their radar based on recent success. Makes sense to use that scholarship to help balance out the classes.

The Jake
lol! Good one Let's try John Brannen's opinion > camelman's opinion Its all good. I'm not taking anything away from Jake's career. As I said, legendary.

The Jake
Let's not forget that NKU already has a 6'1" guard who scored 36.6 points per game in high school, can get to the rim at will, and is an absolute bucket filler. But IMO, his time is limited on the court because he is still learning to guard at the D1 level. I'm quite confident John Brannen knows who Jake Ohmer is, and has not offered. And as @TAC said, what Jake has produced the last two weeks is what he has been doing for several years. But the success of the the Norse the last two weeks also allows Brannen to cast his net a little wider, and in much deeper water. justsayin

The Jake
Whoa now! Aaron Craft was a 4-star recruit, and has dipped his toes in the NBA pool. Let's not get too far out over our skis.
-
The Jake
Very impressive run. Truly legendary. Where I have to put the brakes on the D1 discussion, though, and especially at NKU, is he's still 6'1", and has to play on the other side of the court. If you score 40, but the guy you're guarding scores 41, you're hurting the team. justsayin

Bowling Green 80 Scott 79 (KHSAA Sweet 16 Semifinals)
Jake had to shoot, but weakside help came over and a teammate was left open on low block. Could have been a game winning dish.
