Thank you. Just saw the score but never an explanation. Incredible game by that young man. He seems to have opened a lot of eyes early in the season.

47 points is incredibly impressive. My question is, how do you hit the game winner in a 4 point win? I think the term needed is "go ahead basket". Game winner denotes a buzzer beater or final point to decide the game. Not trying to split hairs, but I'm curious. But 47 points is definitely a "wow" game.

I don't think I'd drive 1.5 miles for this game, much less from Shelbyville. Taylor County will win this one easily.

Injuries are generally public knowledge. I didn't ask who got in trouble and who didn't do their homework. I asked who was hurt. There are threads on this board about kids being injured.

I'm not calling the coach out. Just asking the question. The people that seem to be in the know, are the same people being really vague in their posts. Who's hurt?

Casey Co shouldn't be a measuring stick for anyone. They've not been a factor for years, and this year they've only beaten Burgin and Marion County (in OT). I haven't seen them, I'm just judging based on what I've read here and seeing the scores.

I know kids have a tendency to not always do the right thing, but if Dunbar is missing 8 kids due to various discipline and grade issues, does it come down to their coach not doing what a high school coach is supposed to do? Again, not giving the kids a pass. They know what they need to do. But it sounds like coach has lost control.

Probably the result everyone expected.

Did CAL hire the wrong guy? I know they don't have a lot of talent. But they do have some talent. You'd think they'd at least compete.

Then the opening tip happened?

I'm pretty certain Southern won the game. Let's see if the score gets corrected on KHSAA.

I'm sure there are some interesting stories there.

Why are they missing them?

Hicks has the absolute best facial expressions I've ever seen.

Trinity will play a lot of games this year that appear close. Reason being, they're a defense first team. They stop you before they worry about scoring. That's been their MO for years. It won't change this year.

Did Trinity sub in their JV kids? I watched them in June and Szabo seemed to try and play everyone no matter what the situation. I'm guessing that a 20 point lead in a game you know you could win by 40 is probably that type of situation.

These are worse than reading blogger player rankings. Also has Dow listed at Ballard. Way to be on it guys.....

I watched the Hoptown scrimmage. Ballard won, but what stood out to me: Eaves will help fill the scoring void left from last year. Wilson is ok at the point, but he's really small. Clutch moments will probably see the ball in Eaves' hands. Perry is the most athletic guy a lot of teams will face this year. But his handle and shot don't look like they've improved at all. Most importantly, Ballard will be really bad on defense again this year.

Was Eli Wright there?

Did the big kid for Graves do anything? Heard enough about him.

How's Bolden's knee progressing? Will he be back this year?

I'm sure KHSAA will promptly rule him eligible. Because nothing is odd about going to your 3rd high school in 4 years....
