Isaiah Collier Enrolls at North Laurel

Featured Replies

Told by a source that Isaiah Collier has enrolled at North Laurel HS.

North Laurel will definitely be in the mix this season in that region.

What position does he play how tall is he?

6'5" wing; he's moved around quite a bit during his HS career I do believe

Let's see...I think he was at Southwestern as a freshman and maybe sophomore, then Jackson County last season. Is that correct?

I think he has been at both Laurel schools at one point as well.

I'm sure KHSAA will promptly rule him eligible. Because nothing is odd about going to your 3rd high school in 4 years....

He started out at South. played at North his 8th grade year. He left North when Steve Wright went to SW. Played his Freshman and Soph seasons at SW. Played Jr year at Jackson So. Sr year at North.

His resume reminds me of Joe "The Show" Siler's. Joe went to Corbin until he held back in middle school and Corbin would not allow him to play that year. So he left and went to Lynn Camp through the 8th grade, then to Whitley Co. for a year or two, then to Scott Co. and then back to Lynn Camp, although I could have the last two reversed.

He lived in the Corbin School District the entire time and never once had to sit out.:idunno:

I am sure he has done this from an educational standpoint....LOL....Is not this about a JOKE....

This kid has moved around more then any I can remember. What about loyalty?? And I'm sure the KHSAA will rule him eligible bc they always get it right... Lol.. What a joke. Makes about 4 or 5 different schools in the past 4 years. Don't be susprised to see his dad on the bench

Serious question, how CAN guys like these get eligible to play? What reasons get them cleared, etc. If this happens, North may be my favorite to win the region.

I'm assuming he hasn't been ruled eligible yet? It usually takes a little bit of time to get cleared doesn't it?

no way they would have a ruling yet. once enrolled @ the receiving school as fast as they can send it out to the sending school they do. The sending school has roughly two weeks to respond to the paperwork & send it back to the receiving school. Then the receiving school sends it to the KHSAA. Its according to how fast Jackson Co. wants to be with it honestly. If they really want to slow it down they wait until the last day & put it in the mail instead of faxing the paperwork to North Laurel.

Also with it being the beginning of a new season, the influx of transfers that the KHSAA typically deals with during this time of the year is higher than say the middle of the season.... They process one at a time depending upon the date they receive the transfer. It has gotten faster of late since they split the Bylaw 6 transfers between Regions 1-8 & 9-16 between two of the associate commissioners.
