True. Travelers have mostly freshman. But only one of them, CVH, is 15. The rest are closer to 17. So playing up, they're basically playing in their actual age group.

East side of Shelbyville. I'm closer to Frankfort than I am Louisville. The truth is the truth though. Am I wrong? Nearly every prominent freshman in the eastern/mountain area of the state is 16. I was a junior in high school when I was 16.

RC Celtics won D2 state last year. They play as Louisville Spartans now. I saw them at Mid America a couple weeks ago.

I've heard a couple of Trinity players are heading elsewhere. Still not sold on Waggener. I think Ballard will be way better than anyone expects.

Bullitt East returns almost everyone. They also had a few really good freshman this season. I'd guess that the 6th region is coming back to Mt Washington.

People still aren't grasping that there's no such thing as "17u" with the Nike teams. You're either EYBL, or you aren't. The Travelers 16u isn't an EYBL team. They're just a team affiliated with the Nike team. Travelers 16u can play in any tournament they want, while the EYBL team can only play Nike events.

I know I've posted about some of these teams on here. But I'm definitely making the trip to Lexington for AAU state to watch Matts Mustangs, Manimal, Hoop Dreams 16, and the Ville. It's going to be a great atmosphere.

Doss lost in 6th region semis, but yes, he did a great job turning them around.

I completely agree with you. He did a monumental job at Casey Co this year considering what he had. I don't think there's a lot coming up there either.

I've heard from a pretty reliable source that he won't be back at Scott Co.

Thanks. I recognized a big kid from Christian Academy, and the point guard from Bullitt East, but none of the others looked familiar, guess that's why. Impressive team though.

Gators are mostly Louisville kids. They've won their age group in state for the last few years. They've also performed well on a national level. Disappointed that 8th grade only had 3 teams play D1.

At Mid America today the 15u division was very impressive. Louisville Spartans look really good. A mix of Trinity and St X kids. The Louisville Lighting look like a nice team. The team that caught my eye most was called Matts Mustangs. Anyone have any info on them? I watched a little of the 16u but it sounds like the better 16 teams were in Lexington.

Cometely agree. He can play both guard spots equally as effective, he's smooth, and he is really good at the lost art known as defense...

They weren't in LIT. That's only for 6 and 7 region teams. They had the Dixson kids at the beginning of the year and got invited to the KOB, but I'm not sure they won a game there.
