The thing about Pitino is that the guys who he gives those spots to really do have a chance to earn clock. The kid from CAL and the kid before him that played at Frankfort High both had some opportunities. He doesn't use them just for practice dummies that the walk-ons at UK.

 

I'm glad to hear that Trent has another option.

Lots of walk-ons have gone on to become serious contributors at Louisville. If he practices hard and learns the defense, he'll earn minutes.

I'm not necessarily a Louisville fan but I do agree with what's been said. Pitino does a tremendous job of developing guards over their careers. That could prove to be an attractive option for this young man

Before the Sweet 16, TN Tech was his only D1 offer. I've been kind of out of the loop since then.
