News coming out today that Kings Soccer Academy and Hammer FC have merged. This is what we all thought was coming after the announcement of the Kings/Hammer teams for U13 and up last year. Not sure of many details but should be interesting. Should make them the second largest club locally behind Cincy United.

I see a possible upset in the first round with Holmes over Highlands. Should be a good matchup of Abner vs Turner. I will still go with NDA vs The Birds.

The way the Camels are playing, I think if they get by GRC they should have the easier road to the finals. Brossart may have drawn the easier first round game between the two but will run into a buzz saw in Montgomery County. Finals: Montgomery vs Campbell

Camels win and surprisingly the game never seemed to close. Well played game by the Camels and congrats on the championship. Pretty sure McGovney, Day, and Losey all in double figures. Great game for Nate Hess as well. Really hit the boards well.

I don't think there is anyway Hatton guards Ruthsatz. Hatton is a hell of an offensive player but I don't think his defense is very good. I think Hatton and Ruthsatz both get their points tonight. The question is where the other points come from to pull out a win.

McGovney was receiving letters and is supposed to announce his college choice tonight at Senior Night. Monroe is going to Transy from what I've heard. Holbrook is just a Junior but he has received his first letter. I am sure Saunders is getting looks but I cannot say for sure. Not sure how the other regions stack up when it comes to recruitment of their best talent.

Why do you make this statement? Are you seriously saying there is no one else that is talented on that list but Bach and Prewitt? You might want to get out of whatever Region you are in and check out some other players. McGovney, Monroe, Holbrook, and Saunders are worthy of that list and have plenty of talent. I am not saying that list could compete with every region but they would give the 9th a run for their money.

This was horrible defensive game for Campbell County. This may be one of the worst defensive teams I have seen at Campbell since Coach Russell has been there. Holbrook, N. McGovney, and T. McGovney are in your face defenders but the rest of the team is really lacking. J. Franzen is normally a lock down defender but something has not been working for him this season. When he plays tough defense he plays over aggressively and gets in to foul trouble and then the next game he overcompensates. I really like this kid but he just needs to take a deep breath and let the game come to him. The Camels are a team that likes to score in transition but cannot when the defense is so bad. Hopefully these boys step up and finish out this season on a strong note. I know Coach Russell is a great coach but these boys need to come to play. I believe Trent McGovney may have had more rebounds last night than any other Camels player. Congrats on a great performance by him. Looks like Coach Russell is getting more confident with playing him in big time situations.

Deja Turner is a straight up baller. I have never seen the girl play before but she is smooth to the basket and can really finish. Her outside shot is just as good and she is money from the free throw line. I am a CCHS fan and was upset with the loss but it was a joy to watch her play. There was one point in the game when she was matching shot for shot with CCHS. To be only a soph and have that kind of game is pretty impressive. Camel student section was heckling her all night at the free throw line. Near the end of the game, during critical free throws, she makes the first and hears the heckles, looks up at the student section and just smiles. She makes the second and throws up a 2 finger point, great moment. Taylor Robinson looked great as always coming off of injury. Girl is one of the hardest workers on the basketball court and it shows.

Standout Campbell County Senior Nate McGovney has been cleared to play today. I know a lot of people have been praying for a quick recovery from his knee injury over the summer and he has gotten back on the court quicker than expected. Cannot wait to watch this kid on the court for his senior season. Kind of sad in a way that this is his last year on the high school court. Been watching this kid tear up the court since 6th grade. Knew back then he was something special, not only as a player but also as a person. Should be fun to watch him and his outstanding brother Trent on the court at the same time this year. Good luck to the McGovney boys and the Camels basketball team this season. Praying for a great season that is injury free.

No real argument here. Any of the three could get it but I think you should give it to Coach Gough since they were regional champs. Each team has there own reasons for their coach being Coach of the Year but your points are correct and he should receive it. Kind of sad that the soccer forum will be dry for several months since the season has come to an end.

Has to be one of the biggest upsets of the season. After seeing Brossart play Scott in the District Championship I thought for sure you would see them make a run down state but this is why they play em. Congrats on a great season though Mustangs!

Congrats to Lauren and Taylor Robinson for making 1st Team All Region and for Bryanna Schroers for making 3rd Team All Region. She is just a soph and is one of the best goalies in NKY. Has a big club season coming up playing for one of the top clubs in the area, Ohio Elite. Had a tough time figuring out why Holly Schwarber did not make an All Region team. I know she is just a freshman but is clearly one of the better defensive players in NKY. Good luck tonight Lady Camels!

No problem. I didn't see the but the 2nd half of the PC vs MC game but when I looked at the scoreboard I thought MC was winning. PC scores a nice goal and the score changes from 3-1 to 4-1. I was pretty surprised. Great game from PC girls!

Its PC vs BBHS in one Semi and CCHS vs Harrison County in the other.

The boys game last night was one of the best games I have seen played by a team this year. Brossart boys were dominant for nearly the entire game. Their passing and style of play was great to watch. Being a CCHS alum and knowing Brossart soccer since the late 80's, this is the best Brossart boys team I have ever watched. They are good at every position. Jordan is a handful up front. The man is built like Wayne Rooney and plays so hard everytime the ball is in his area. Eli was the most impressive player on the field last night for me. He won almost every 50/50 ball and dominated the midfield. I believe it was Ben Uebel who basically man to man covered Treadway last night and did a hell of a job. My "want to see matchup" is Brossart vs CovCath. These too teams play similar styles and would be such a great game to watch. Hopefully we get to see this matchup somewhere down the road in the tourney. Its a shame they didn't play during the regular season. Good luck to the Mustangs and Coach Brian in the Region. The girls game was good as always between these two teams. Not much offense but that is to be expected when two teams that know each other so well get together on the field. Good luck to both Brossart and the Lady Camels in the Region.

I agree. Dixie has a great team. They were one of my favorites at the beginning of the season after seeing them play at Soccerama but have quietly been winning the games they should and have started to turn it on late. They may have the fastest midfield in NKY with sophomore Lauren Nemoroff and senior Anna Crosthwaite (One of the toughest players I have seen play this year). They will be a tough out having 10 seniors.

Yes, Notre Dame and St.Henry would be the favorites but I put Brossart in there as my sleeper.
