This thread took a wrong turn just like the rest of the HHS Girls Soccer threads this season. I think its time to move on to basketball now. Its always the same old recycled garbage over and over again. I have defended this coaching staff all season and will continue to do so but just not on this forum. I have made my stance on the situation perfectly clear and have made it clear who I am. I don't personally dislike anyone on this forum and know who most of you are that have a problem with the coaching staff. Some of you make some good points when it comes to the game of soccer and in game situations. The way that some of you have handled your situations with the coaching staff I have found unacceptable. Sitting behind a keyboard to discuss your dislike for someone is not a good approach. I am sure that person or person's would rather you come straight to their face about it. This doesn't mean a volatile conversation. This means discussing the coaching decisions that you do not agree with and I don't mean playing time. I basically divulged who I was because I wasn't worried about people knowing that I support Coach Wiefering and his coaching staff. I have no problem debating or talking soccer with fellow fans. I love this game and love to discuss it, I just don't feel the need to sit behind a keyboard to do it anymore. Good luck to NDA, NCC, Campbell and Brossart. Any of these teams will represent NKY well down state.

From what I understand, her OE coach and some college coaches that were looking at her advised her against playing high school soccer this year. You may hear a different story but I know that she still works out and trains at a certain fitness center.

Shouldn't be any extras. Pandas win 3-0. Outplayed the Birds. NDA looked a lot better than they did in their first meeting when they won 2-1. Think that pretty much sums it up.

Good work! Way to take this thread to some place other than the game that was played last night. What does it matter to you anyway? Your Camels are still playing which is great for them. Worry about them instead of what the HHS girls coach is going to do.

Are you sure that they would have had to go for 2 in triple overtime? I thought that was only a college rule.

Would have to say that NDA is like UK Basketball.....worlds largest target on their back. Hoping for an HHS upset but they must get by a good Boone County team first. Going to be an exciting week for NKY high school soccer.

I would go with Schroers but NDA keeper is right there with her. Couple good young keepers at Highlands and NCC are not far behind.

Zap, please explain to me what makes no sense??? The fact is, NCC and NDA are two different teams. Not sure what the two games Highlands played against NCC have to do with the game against NDA. Different styles of play and its a rival. NCC vs HHS is always going to be a tight game. I considered HHS to be one of the 2 favorites because that was my opinion, no knock on NCC. That is what I am entitled too, my opinion. I am not replying to you to call out your opinion about your choices am I?

I think Ryle and Highlands have the best chance to knock off NDA. It will be a hard road to knock them off though. I think that Campbell County lost increased the fire in them. Ryle allows the least amount of goals in NKY which says a lot for their defense and keeper. Tough to pull out a win if you can not score. Highlands has shown they can hang with NDA, losing in the final minute of their last meeting. Highlands will have to find ways to score though. NDA is the favorite but possible upsets by both Ryle and Highlands. Dark horse for me would be St.Henry or NCC. Good luck to all the teams in the Regionals. Go Birds!

The main point here is that bad touch that could have led to a NCC goal never happened. Defense took chances tonight and it paid off. KC and CH played a very good game at midfield tonight. Not sure how people didn't see that.

The Highlands defense came up huge tonight to not allow NCC to get many chances on goal. The mix of speed (Bankamper and Steppe) and the more technical and physical play of Graves and Haley C. made a huge difference. The midfield played extremely well. A little out of position at times but kept their shape pretty well. Taylor Vaughn had gotten more physical with every game, doing what she can to keep her high school career going. Keepers for both teams were at the top of their game. Zimmerman for NCC is a top notch field general. She makes that team go and didn't disappoint tonight with her hard nose play. Props to Tolle as well. Thought they could have gotten her a few more chances.

Well played game by both teams. Birds have a slight advantage in possession throughout the game. Good luck to both teams in the regionals.

Why would Boyle County stick out like a soar thumb??? 5-0 loss is pretty bad but Boyle County is a really good team. Their only bad loss was to Lex Cath 5-0. Tell me what kind of record this team was supposed to have. .750, .500, or .250? No one can predict a record because there are so many variables. BR would have made this team better and would have probably helped win a couple of those 1 goal games. You have a team of 4 seniors and a mix of Jrs, Sophs, and Freshman. I think winning 10 games with that schedule, under a new coach is pretty impressive. It's amazing to me that people have a problem with coaching and don't say it's because of rumors. I have heard numerous people on here complain about the style of play and formations that he plays. Please explain to me the success of the JV and Frosh teams??? These girls all bought into the system. I believe it just took a little longer for the Varsity girls to adapt to it. It's in no way a knock on them but learning a new formation when some of them had spent 3-4 years with Tommy are going to struggle at first. This is not a knock on Tommy either. If you were at Senior Night you could have seen the respect the girls have for him and his wife. People who have opinions about his style of coaching should have stepped up and applied for the job when it was open. Problem is, you couldn't do it and couldn't handle it. I know I couldn't have done it. Not because I don't know the game but because I would have put my foot up the rear of these parents and told the to go kick rocks. Good luck to the Birds tomorrow night. Prove to these people that this team can accomplish what they set out to do at the beginning of the season. Absolutely crazy. They game plan for every upcoming team they play. That is just nonsense. If there were 6 girls crying after the game last night then please tell us why? I can also tell you this, I can tell you that the majority of the current 7th and 8th graders that played this year will be back along with several more girls who will be in the 8th grade class next year. Please don't try to tell me I don't know what I am talking about. I have two daughters on that freshman team. That should give you some insight on who I am. Sure, I have heard there were some of the high school girls who were not going to tryout next year, oh well. That is their choice. This team will move on without them. Game plan for Zimmerman's throw ins? Hey, here is a game plan...mark a girl like you have been taught since you were 9 years old and don't let them get to the ball. There is not some special defense to put in place to defend throw ins and corners. You mark your girl tight and clear the ball out if it comes to your feet. Match up size and strength and double team someone if needed. Every team in NKY knows she has the best throw in they have ever seen but I am sure they don't spend practices learning to defend it. You would spend time learning to counter attack it.

And we are back to HHS soap opera. Don't know what this thread has to do with this but I guess that is where this is headed again. They are asking about good district games. HHS vs NCC will be a good game. I am not sure if it's "Days of Birds Lives" or "Real Housewives of Fort Thomas". I guess I will have to tune in Wednesday night for the next episode. I don't know if I should bring popcorn or tissues. I will be glad when the seasons over so we don't have to listen to this anymore. For the seniors sake, I hope they can make a run. I find it funny that this site has been silent over the last couple of weeks and now this nonsense.

His stats are good. I don't think anyone saying that there not. They are the most talked about team on this forum but it's not only because they are one of the top 3 teams in NKY, it's also because of their lack of decipline. They are one of the most undeciplined teams in the state. This will end up costing them on the road to state. The real "ignorance" is that the coach ha allowed this to continue throughout the season. The ubundant amount of cards is a reflection on him now since he has shown no actions to correct it. Maybe they can keep their heads in the game and make a good run to state everyone knows they have the talent to do it.

People are just stating their opinions about the upcoming match. To come on here and call people ignorant is pretty low on your part. You could have just commented with Morgan's stats and that would have said enough. Instead you had to go where no one expected this thread to go.

If Campbell can play a game like they played against CovCath, they can beat Scott. Scott is favored but CCHS could pull out the win. First upset of the districts?? I like the idea of man marking those two....everyone knows how they can get if frustrated.

Should be very interesting to see how some teams do in the last two weeks. Some finish with very competitive schedules and others don't. Will a top rated schedule prepare those that have played it for the districts and regional or will they be lacking confidence with their results or beat up from those games. Very important to get that top district seed but even more important to win the district so you can stay away from the cream of the crop in your opening Regional game. Either way should be an exciting month of October for girls soccer around here.

If you think Boone gave CovCath 'all they wanted for a half' you should probably go back and check out that game thread again or watch the game tape.

That is laughable. I don't remember calling out Keyplayer or anyone else in this thread. I am no longer being baited into this non-sense but good try though. If anyone wants to talk HHS Girls Soccer then talk to me about it at the games. Unless it's positive, I am not talking about it on this site.
