Congrats to Beechwood for making the finals. I saw both teams play and I thought Beechwood was a better "team". Presentation had a nice team but had some bigger weapons. Beechwood covers the floor well and for a smaller team hits very well. NKY was well represented with Brossart having a good showing along with Walton. BBHS played well and could have easy won there 1st round game in the Championship bracket to set up a game with Beechwood but came up short. Again congrats to all 3 NKY schools

If BBHS played like they did in the last 3 games of the St. Henry match on Tuesday they win last night but that was not the case.

BBHS laid an Egg last night. They did not play well at all and I think some of the rotations were out of sorts. They need to leave more of the best players on the court (whoever the coaches judge that to be). They had so many subs I think they lost track of who to get the ball too. One positive I see is they are setting the back row more when the better hitters are back there and they are taking good swing. If you are going to go down, do it with your best. Highland did Play OK (I think they are better than they played) but last night will not be a match to gage how good they really are since BBHS played so flat. IMHO

Don't tell NCC that St Henry is down this year, they beat them easily 2 times.

Brossart played some of the best volleyball that they can play after the 1st game in the 4 game set. They played hard and fought for every point to Tie 1 to 1 in the match. They lost the last 2 but not without a fight losing 2 close games. St Henry did not play great and does have a lot of talent but don't overlook the Lady Stangs they are playing some really good volleyball right now. This was also a great night to celebrate the battle against Cancer and winning. Thank you to St Henry for inviting BBHS to take part in an amazing night. The only thing that was important that night was letting a coach know that everyone in that gym that night is praying for her no matter what team you were cheering for. Go win Coach!!!

All-A success is against teams of the same size schools not one with 2000 kids versus 320 kid. BBHS had a good year and played hard. They took many matches to close sets and had chances in almost all games. Not a bad lose IMHO because the polls are never correct except when they have NDA at the top of NKY volleyball every year. That is always correct dispite what Cooper, Ryle, or St. Henry like to think. By the way I think the beatdown that the Camels received from the Scott Eagles was much worse than the BBHS lose to the Camels. They never got started before it was OVER!!!

Crowd was great and it was a good night to celebrate some amazing women. It was also fun to catch up with LB for a few minutes. Both teams played hard for some exciting Volleyball. BBHS played great defense and pass REALLY well but in the end NCC just had more firepower. They have some very good hitters that know what to do with a good set. BBHS students section were great and added a lot to the festivities and no moms got upset at having some fun. Thanks to all who put this together it was worth the long night.

St. Henry looked very good and was the best team in the toury. LCA and Holy Cross of Louis. Played well against them but could not pull off an upset. Congrats to them. They took care of business.

IMO this is an overreaction from a new administration at BBHS (AD and Principal). I was there and this did not need to happen. Volleyball FINALLY gets some support and they KILL it. This is not fair to the students of BBHS again IMO. I hope this makes the HHS “super Mom” happy, but guess what, you still lost and I could not be happier.

I was there and that is not true. They did show up and were yelling during the HHS serve so the Ref stop the game and call Dan Ridder over and asked him to tell them they could not scream while the HHS players was serving which he did (KHSAA Rule). The kids were loud and a little annoying and they did get in the players and even the coaches head a little BUT the HHS players were smiling and laughing about the student section. Hell the coach even gave them a thumbs up when they were mimicking her every move for about 10 mins. I hope she does call Mr. Ridder because he was standing next to them most of the time after the ref stopped the game and handled it. Sour Grape from HHS. Sorry no one from HHS shows up to support their volleyball team except family members. Brossart support from their student section was loud and I thought it was Great!!!!!!!! If cursing happened I did not hear it and I was sitting right next to them. Again Great win for BBHS and Bad lose for HHS

BBHS wins 1st 2 games, HHS comes back to win the next 2 to take it to a 5th. BBHS wins 5th easily. Great win for BBHS on a night that both teams struggled to serve consistently. BBHS Football team (all 22 of them) showed up to support the Lady Stangs and help the girls to victory. $5 well spent I would post the scores but I am not sure what they were so if someone that knows could please jump in.

1983 Bluebird that were undefeated and 2 time defending state champs ranked #24 in USA Today nationally and were beat by the Connor Cougars 13-6 in the 1st round of the playoffs. Connor went on to win the state title with the help of Melvin Miles at running back and a 7 diamond defense. Birds were posed to score with 2 mins. to go in the game when and ill-timed off sides penalty on the 3 yard line pushed them back and they never scored. If they win that game it would have been another title for the birds.

That's the problem, it is a new year and "several team YOU THOUGHT" did not do so well. Everyone was put in a pool and had to PLAY their way in. You can't bracket a tournament by last year's results. EVERYONE is starting over. Do you just want teams that are historically good separated to give them a better chance to move on. Now do you still think that is Fair??? If so you obviously are coming to the table with a bias against someone and it sound like to me it is small Schools that are not "worthy"???

teams were not sent anywhere they needed to earn their spot and they did not. Brossart went 5-0 in pool play and only lose 1 game in 5 matches. They TOOK CARE OF BUSINESS and earned their way into the gold bracket. Sorry you don't like it but that was the draw they got and they took advantage of it. They beat one team that had a record of 33-6 last year so they we not play total losers. If you would have watched them they played VERY hard and scrapped for every point and earned their way. Sorry you did not get the results you wanted from this tournament but BBHS played hard and had a great showing for the team they put on the floor. Good luck to all in the upcoming season.
