I've seen Murray play. Team is solid and that coach is one to really watch. She's very passionate about her kids and pushes them to give that little extra. Last year yes they did finish 35-2. One of those loses being to eventual State Champ Butler and a last second shot against Mason Co. Murray really needs to get out there and play some out of Region teams. They did a great job by getting into tat Lex. Cath tournament and putting the state on notice that this team will be tough. Their Region isn't very strong (IMO). SO getting out there and playing some good team out of Lexington, Louisville or really anywhere across the state. Best of luck and I hope I get to see them again at the Lexington Cath. Tournament.

Anybody know why #50 for Holmes didn't play in the second half? Or why #13 had a bag of ice on her face for most of the 2nd half? More curious as to why #50 (who started the game) didn't play in the 2nd half.

Letcher Co. Central (10-20) lost to Knott Co. Central (21-7) 48-68 How is this an upset???

Prime example why all Districts should seed instead of a blind draw. Bracken Co. has the 3rd best record in the 10th Region at 18-9 and probably wont beat Mason Co. So instead you will have a team in the 10th Region Tournament with either a 6-21 record or a 8-22 record. Then one of those teams will play a District winner and get beat by 40. SAD!!!!

Has anybody heard about the Boone Co. job? Job has been posted for a few months now and haven't even heard if their interviewing anyone yet.

Holy Cross in my mind is the best team in the Region. I haven't seen Highlands or New Cath play yet but Holy Cross was very impressive. Boone got open looks just didn't hit any shots. Credit to HC defense, hitting the boards and not allowing Boone any second chances. The fact also is Boone was only about 20% from the field and that might be giving them a little. They missed wide open shots and layups which you cant do against HC. Now, am I saying that would have made a huge difference? Most likely not but the score wouldn't have been so lop sided. Good luck to both teams moving on.

This is a huge game in deciding the District seeding. Both team needing the W but who comes out on top?

That's doesn't make any sense? If their only taking the first 3 games then why play the other 3? The seeding is based on every game. So by Monday of next week once Conner gets its final district game in against Ryle we'll know the seeding for the 33rd. Looking like its going to be a great tourney and very fun to watch. I think its still up for grabs. Conner isn't playing well as of late but a win over Boone or Ryle could turn their season around real quick. Ryle is a dangerous team especially with the 33rd being at Ryle this year. Boone seems to be a team nobody can figure out, be interesting to see which team Nell brings to the tourney. Cooper has had an amazing turn around and potential to be the #1 seed is still there but they will need some help. Like I said should be a great tourney and I cant wait to watch!

Does anybody else find her whole High School career situations a joke?

I don't believe they'll be the pre-season #1. Its tough to be put above ND and NCC. Boone and Conner are right into the thick of things though. Don't count out Holy Cross either.

Had a chance to watch the Lady Rebels while I was at Simon Kenton's scrimmage the other day and what I can tell they look tough. Having some issues losing 3 year starter Jones at the point and no post presents. Got a lot of guards and ball handlers. Going to be interesting if their 2-3 shooters can get hot at the same time. Team could put up some serious numbers. Lack of defense, PG play and rebounding is what may really hurt the Lady Rebels.........BUT once March comes around you never know what you're going to get. Coach Fookes will have her team ready just like in years past. Good Luck this season girls!

Rumors mixed with the truth are going to be flying all over the place so if people want to set the record straight then she needs to make a statement telling people the reason. That just what I think. Don't get me wrong I don't care why she resigned honestly. I'm mean outside of just general curiosity but other than that it doesn't really matter. Because fact of the matter is simply this. Notre Dame lost a good basketball coach and someone is going to gain a good basketball coach. No offense but you cant sit here and be upset with people who are continuing rumors or saying what they may or may not know. Want to set the record straight? Then set it for us and tell everyone.
