I think two questions must be answered first:

1. Is Deja Turner enrolled and eligible?

2. Is her father Lee Turner on staff??

I Heard she played all summer with them and she enrolled. Nobody has ever said that Lee was on staff.

Saw her on the fr/jv volleyball team when they played NewCath a week ago.

So I guess that answers part A. Deja Turner is enrolled and eligible. Now what about her father. Is he on staff?

Does anybody else find her whole High School career situations a joke?

Yes. Out of control. But you can't blame them if it's allowed. Not saying I agree with their personal decisions...to each their own. But I do have an issue with the "flexibility" of the system. Either just do away with the transfer rule or enforce it. I don't care one way or another, but I can't stand rules when they aren't enforced. I completely understand there are exception situations, this one is mockery of the rules.

Big BOO BOO on my part..........it wasn't Deja Turner, but Alehia Tucker that I saw at Newcath /Holy Cross volleyball game. Tucker played 2nd base for Dixie Heights varsity softball as a 7th grader, then last year play varsity softball for Holmes and now is playing volleyball and I would assume softball for Holy Cross this year as a frosh.

Too much jumpin' from one school to another that I couldn't keep players correct.

However I did here Turner's 1st request to the KHSAA was denied, but now going back for a 2nd time with lawyer in toe. :idunno:

I wish our State would adopt Indiana's philosophy....you can attend whatever school you want to attend. If it's out of your region then transportation in on you. Maybe you go to a class system for that matter.

I heard from a reliable source that she was denied by the KHSAA, lawyered up and seeking a legal iinjunction. Can anyone confirm this? If this is true, Lee Turner should be embarrassed. An injunction on what grounds? Please enlighten me if I am missing something here.

Not sure about the lawyer part but she was ruled ineligible, appealed, hearing office denied her appeal so as of now she is ineligible.

I'm curious as to what their argument would be.

You and "countless" others!!!

I heard her options are:

Stay at Holy Cross and sit out this year.

Return to Holmes and play this year.

Or go to Beechwood, since she lives in Ft. Mitchell.

That's what I've been told. :idunno:
